You bring out a lot of bits and pieces that I really didn't think of when I watched it earlier this year. Perhaps I need another run through the series?

Dave has been sick, so I haven't had a chance to record our segment for the next Anomaly. He wants his voice to "sound nice". Who knew my husband would care about that sort of stuff? LOL. I hope to record it this coming weekend (maybe Dave will sound less like Typhoid Mary). Angela still needs to send me the segments we recorded together a couple of weeks ago, but she's in Vegas living the good life. That's right, I said Vegas. She's probably playing the slot machines next to some old lady. ;) :D

In the mean time, I've been working on other Anomalous things. Over the past few years we've had quite a few requests for an Anomaly forum. We've been afraid to create one for fear that no one would go to it and the cost would not be worth the trouble. Well, Meds pointed me to a free forum and as an experiment I signed Anomaly up then asked three people (who I wanted to be mods) to check it out. Over one week we populated it and then I sent email invites to a few more people and they posted, and a few days later I tweeted the address to our listeners. There are a good portion who've never used a forum, who are testing the waters now on our boards. Several are friends that we go to Renfest with and other Texas friends we frequently hang with but many more are Anomaly listeners. It's interesting to see the overlap of online and off line friends there. It's fun to watch folks we know as long time Anomaly fans, start chatting with our friends from Treks In Sci-Fi, Star Wars Fanworks, Renfest and other communities and podcasts we pal around with. It's sort of become a big melting pot of our friends.

I can't be there all the time, but I do try to swing over as often as possible. Angela has been too. We have forums on sports, audio dramas, blogs, podcasts, theater, music, renfest, geek trading post, costuming and Anomaly specific threads. There will be a lot of double dipping between the TrekSF forum and ours, but then there are quite a few members there who have never listened to your podcasts or read blogs before. If you get a chance, join our boards and cross pollinate. :)

Just to clarify.. you need to use the widget on Anomaly's blogsite for the call to be free. You add your name and number to the widget and it will call you and then call their VM. Depending on your set up of cell phone you this may cost you minutes. But if you use a landlline number it's free.

We have a staff of talented writers there who post great articles about a plethora of geeky subjects. I'm also keeping up  our forum, which will be officially announced on the next Anomaly episode. http://www.anomalypodcast.freeforums.org

Check it out if you get a chance— there's nothing wrong with calling more than one forum "home", LOL.  :D We have a few topics that are similar but quite a few that are not (Sports, Theater, Audio Dramas, Blogs, Geek Trading Post).  We do have a listenership/community that is mixed between Star Wars Fanworks and Treks In Sci-Fi, but we also have quiet a few listeners who are unique to Anomaly.  If you have your own podcast, please consider posting there to introduce yourself to them.

FYI: I'll be making a special announcement on the upcoming episode. :) Oh shoot, I'll just tell ya now. I'm expecting a baby. :) I'm only 6 weeks along but I'm feeling the effects. I've been tired for weeks now and I started getting sick yesterday. Feeling sick sucks, but hopefully it won't last very long. I'm working out and juggling my job, home life and hobbies, so I apologize for being MIA. I still hope to pop in from time to time and keep up with Anomaly (which is two months late, sorry bout that). We put up a "coming soon" message but there was some sort of conflict between Cue Base and Windows 7. Doh! We didn't catch it until it was uploaded...so if you downloaded the 15 second file, you'll get nothing but dead air and a title that says "Coming Soon". Well, at least you know that much right? :)
