Great episode to cover for this particular day.  One of the best of DS9.  Looking forward to hearing the podcast.

Same here, I have it loaded, and on the commute list.

Hi everyone! A couple of days ago my little boy and I reviewed "How to Train Your Dragon 2" in a new Anomaly Podcast series called: called "Anomaly's Geek Mom Review". Aaron will be my co-host in these minicasts and he totally steals the show. We'll be doing more reviews of kids' movies, learning games, books and toys...most of which are geeky. Our next episode will be on the new Disney Plane's movie: Fire and Rescue.

If you have kids, nieces, nephews, little cousins, grandchildren or friends with kids I think you'll enjoy it and so will they. Send us your voice mail comments, suggestions and questions: girlygeekz at gmail dot com.

Here's a link to the blog/podcast. Please share with your friends using the social media links at the bottom of the page and subscribe to our blog for updates:

Angela and I were featured in a series called "Podcast Luminaries"! We're so excited! In the Q&A we were a few questions about podcasting. We told Libsyn that one of the best things about podcasting is all the friends we've met through it, like Rico, Rick, Meds, Joe, Chris, Jeff, Dan, Kenny, Al, Mike and all our other podcast friends and listeners.  :wub

Our latest episode is on The People vs. George Lucas—a documentary about Lucas and how Star Wars fans feel about him and the films. http://www.anomalypodcast.com/shownotes/anomaly-of-the-people-vs-george-lucas/

Our latest episode is out. It's about the new show on Starz called "Outlander". My mom and sister are huge fans of the book series, which is a historical fantasy. They introduced the books to me, so I invited them to join me in this episode of Anomaly. We had so much fun, we'll probably be doing these regularly.

Ronald D. Moore, known for Star Trek and the reimagined Battlestar Galactica, adapted the Outlander TV series for the Starz network. He involved Gabaldon to ensure the show, of which he is a fan, and they remain true to the novels. So far...so good. OH! And Bear McCreary is creating the episode scores. How awesome is that?

At the start of the series, we find Claire, a British combat nurse, and her husband Frank, an Oxford historyprofessor who worked for MI6 during WW II, on their second honeymoon to Inverness, Scotland. The Second World War has just ended and the couple is trying to reconnect after a long separation. On the trip, Frank also intends to research his family history. While Frank studies piles of historical documents, Claire, having an interest in botany, goes on a search for herbs near standing stones on the hill of Craigh na Dun. She hears a buzzing noise near the stones and when she moves closer to investigate, she is transported two-hundred years into the past. After a string of harrowing events she meets a man who she eventually falls in love with: James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser. He's a well-educated, Scottish landowner and warrior; a natural leader on and off the battlefield.

Is Outlander a series that men and women will enjoy? Definitely. Don't let the "romance thing" turn you away. The books are packed with epic adventure, fantasy, intrigue, politics, history, good and evil, love and hate, places, times... not to mention awesome plots, characters and dialogue! There are moments when you laugh aloud and times when you get "a little verklempt" (upset). It's a great story! Give it a shot!

Sounds like a good show. I recognize that red coat actor from GoT, and Rome on HBO

The latest episode of Anomaly is our reaction to The Force Awakens teaser. We recorded a quick 10 minute video during lunch the other day just to get it out quickly. There's a lot of excitement and nerd rage about this trailer. We talk about both and our own feelings on the matter.

Good review of a tempting teaser that leaves more questions to answer :)

Rico

Enjoyed the reaction video cast a lot.  I agree with you and Angela.  I'm just excited for this new chapter in the Star Wars saga.

P.S. You two should do more short videos like this. Quick and a nice change of pace too without all that troublesome and lengthy video editing!

Oh yes, we've decided to do this every month, at least once. In the past we did something called a "mini skirt" cast, a short episode before or after our full length episodes. Those are just work though. These videos are easy! AND ANGELA can edit it. I'm the one that does all the editing and my time is becoming more and more scarce. It's great to have extra content that's spontaneous and different from everything else in our feed. Plus, I think there's some entertaining facial expressions and mishaps that occur...like the banner that fell down in the background. This is the kind of stuff that happens during our full length episodes, but no one ever sees it. :D

Glad you liked it! We're doing another one Tuesday, and it should be up soon after that.
