.. is this coming Monday and i am running it for the first time. Having gone to college in Boston, I went to watch the race once or twice. It's on Patriots Day, which is a major holiday in Beantown, or at least a good excuse to drink!  :cheers
This is pretty much the premiere Marathon in the world. You have to qualify for it based on an accomplished time in other qualified Marathons to participate. Last year I ran a 2:59:33 marathon at the Phoenix Rock and Roll Marathon to earn my spot. What makes this even more special is that my 65 year old mother also qualified that same day with a 4:24 run. She has done Boston over the years about 5 times but never with her son. This past October I took her to Kona to watch me race the Ironman World Championships, a race she competed in 4 times, and now I get to go to Boston with her. Pretty special for me.   :biggrin
So I will be a bit MIA until next Tuesday, but send me some good vibes, I'll need them when I hit "Heartbreak Hill".

Good luck Bryan, with all the exercise you do, you'll have done it in 10 mins and be sipping a cool drink waving people past. Have fun.
