Laser Eye Surgery

Hey guys, I've been considering laser surgery to correct my vision and I wanted to get some personal experiences that anyone may have had with it. I'm thinking cost, the procedure, the results, things of that nature.

My eyes are about -7 each, they've been stable for about 2 years. My goal in this is to either never have to wear glasses again or at least not be as dependent on them as I am now. Without them or contacts I am blind.

Best $5000 I have ever spent. I had  Lasik done back in 2002. I this I was a minus 2.5. I an now 20/20 in one eye and 20/15 in the other. I went with the most expensive doctors office I could find, figured bargain basement shopping my vision would be a bad idea. If you can afford it I HIGHLY recommend it.

What is the downtime like? I'm a web developer, will I have to limit screen time or anything like that?
