Well... it is finally upon us. The game of the year, possibly of this millenium (note: this millenium started in 2001, lol).

I have two words. F-ing awesome.

This game is so amazing, so fun, so well made and thought out, it has risen through my ranks, and is currently seated as my number 2 favorite video game of all time.

I'm not going to say too much about the game, because I don't want to spoil anything for people, but the game is a lot like halo 2 (obviously), but everything that was wrong with halo 2 is fixed in this game. I actually have found no problems at all with the game.

But I want to hear what you guys think.

So two days before it was released I saw the red rings of death on my 360....This is of course after I've spent extra money to have my pre-order of Halo 3 shipped to me on street date.I'm staring at my unopened package of Halo 3 as it sits next to my boxed 360 waiting to ship to Microsoft repairs. I went 2.5 years without a meltdown and it happens right before Halo. I've also heard a lot of horror stories about repairs so I'm pretty worried.

I'm pretty psyched to play the game but I don't know if I'm ready to give it game of the year. I've got to wait for Mass Effect and Rock Band to get released. That and I'm still very partial to Bioshock. That game was awesome.

My brother got the legendary edition and I was the only girl standing in line in crosby texas. :D
You guys should add my gamertag : Boothanew

My brother also got the legendary edition and completed the game in like 2 days. I personally don't see what's so great about it; I don't even play it because I don't like to play FPS shooters with a control pad. If I could play it on the PC, I'd probably like it. Sometimes my brother will play the game with his friends or online but he's not hooked on it. Sometimes he'd rather play Guitar Hero II or III or even Oblivion (it's a great RPG!).

Boothanew

i LOVE oblivion. :D best RPG ever in my opinion...
but they have halo2 for the pc its pretty good and very cheap these days..
You should check it out..you'd be suprised that you might actually like it.
and online play is addicting.

I really love Oblivion too—still playing all the side quests. I used to have LAN parties with my little brother. I think I prefer RPGs as my reaction time isn't that great when playing FPTs. I always get blown up with rocket launchers. I haven't tried Halo 3 yet but did enjoy Halo2 multiplayer. Lots of fun.

YEP...that's what happens. And I have had that very same conversation about killing people as they respawn—TOTALLY UNCOOL. :D

I'd love to play Halo3 with you Bethany...Just need to get Xbox live going. My brother's been after me to do that for a while. I got an ethernet cable, hooked it up and nothing happens. Just haven't had the time to call tech support. But as soon as I do, you can show me how to kick my brother's butt in Halo.  ;D

Boothanew, I should've also mentioned that I haven't played a FPS on a PC in more than 2 years for a couple of reasons: my PC isn't that great (anymore) and isn't in great working condition. I also now dislike sitting down for long periods of time on a chair because my back dislikes it. It's bad enough having to sit to do homework for hours on end. I can't wait to get one of those very expensive yet comfortable Aeron chairs. Then it'll fraggin' time again.  :shootgun:

Oblivion is my favorite RPG right now. I'm also doing all the side quests and there are sooo many. I still haven't been to the Shivering Isles. But I'm the Gray Fox now!

Jen, by the time you get online to X-Box Live, Microsoft will be ready to launch the X-Box 720. . .j/k   :)

I know... I guess I spend more time writing in the RPG on the forum... it's sort of taken over the time I allow myself for gaming.  :D
