Special Podcast Anniversary Event!

Well, it's just about two years now since I started the podcast. So next Sunday to celebrate I am going to do another LIVE show recording. This is going to take place next Sunday, September 2nd, 2007 at 2pm Eastern Daylight Time. I am going to try and use Ustream for this one. It has a chat function built in too. I will be doing some tests today and over the next week to make sure all is set and working. I will post more details on the event as I have them. But I am going to do live on air contests, some special video segments, and hopefully have some guests drop in (like my elusive wife Lynn). So mark your calendars!

I'm still going to do some more tests this week to see if Ustream or Stickam works better. I kind of want to try Usteam just for a change. I did some tests this morning an it seemed ok. One thing....if I use Ustream, you might want to go to www.ustream.tv before next weekend and get a free account with a user name setup. When you join the chat then next weekend it will use your username. I'm not sure you can create a user id on the fly. It just sort of seems to give you a number. Hope that makes sense.

That sounds like a lot of fun, but alas, Sunday mornings here on the West coast I am at work yakking at 450 people! I will miss everyone, but the show must go on! Have fun! I look forward to listening later!

Sorry some of you won't be able to catch the show. Maybe I will run a video camera too at the same time for some highlights. I announced the day and time on this week's podcast so I can't really change it now. But I will do another LIVE show in the near future (probably for show 150 I think) so you can maybe catch me then. ;)

A couple of details. I will be setting up about 30 min. prior to the 2pm eastern show time. In order to use your own user id for the chat you need to setup a user account with ustream.tv - which is free, easy and quick. If you don't setup an account it just assigns you a random number in the chat. You can still view the video, etc. without an account.

So, if you want to participate in the chat with your normal user name, use the show link ahead of time and set up an account. Hope to see many of your later on today!
