My birthday is next week...August the 28th. My husband has insisted that I create a "birthday list", because he doesn't like going shopping unprepared. I sort of like "gifts from the heart"...but he can't function without a set of parameters. He does have a budget, but he told me to include everything I can think of, so that he has as many options as possible. I'm not sure how much he wants to spend.  ???

I'm having a bit of trouble coming up with ideas...A night on the town would be great. Just so you know, I'm a gadgets girl. I don't like jewelry as gifts...I used to be a silversmith, I could just make my own.  :)
I could use some help coming up with some fresh ideas. Here's what I have so far...If you can think of something I should include, anything, post it here. FYI, I don't want an iPhone...so don't post it. :D

A trip to your favorite Plant Nursery with a budget for new flowers and plants.

A cool new Doggie Bed for Olive, since she sleeps inside now.

Maybe a cool new palm device, or an IPOD with 80 gigs on it.

Do you have a bluetooth headset yet?

A few spindle of 100 recordable CD's

Or maybe a cool CD printer.. ooo nice!

What about a cool new small mega pixel digital camera?

Of course the ultimate- like Kenny said-  a trip to Las Vegas to the Hilton Star Trek Exhibit.  That is simply the coolest thing ever, and I mean ever.

A kitten.

A gift certificate for one free road trip a month to the destination of your request for a year.

The promise of a weekend star wars or star trek marathon with a rented projector and big screen hooked up to your surround sound system.

A date to star watch complete with your favorite beverage, snacks and perhaps getting a star named after you.

A pair of Star Trek earings- perhaps the enterprise.  (Cheesey I know, but oh so geeky and cool)

A complete set of the rules of aquisition.

A light saber.

Man, I could go on and on.

I have been and always will be, your friend.

A Master Replicas Force FX lightsaber always is the gift that says "I love you" or "Die, Sith scum."  I can't remember which?  ;)    But I think you might have one of those already.

Books are always a great thing to get I think too.  Nintendo DS is neat (maybe you have one).  Big Flash Drive?  Some way to hook your iPOD up to your car (you might have that already too).

Good luck on the list.  And an early Happy Birthday Jen!    :happybday

External Speakers for your iPod.

A Gift certificate to eBay

You sound like a lot of fun to buy gifts for, wish my wife like fun type things :), as she likes clothes :(, and those are never easy to buy.

You guys crack me up! "A Master Replicas Force FX lightsaber always is the gift that says "I love you" or "Die, Sith scum."
"A complete set of the rules of aquisition."

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I'm finding them all very helpful.

I do have a lightsaber on my list...It's the Parks Saber Echelon with a blue blade. I like the look of that one...not sure if I'd do anything with it other than pose for pictures with my pal Angela, but its purdy.

I have a way to hook my ipod up to my car and I have a speaker dock for it. Thanks for the suggestions though. The later was a Christmas gift.

You're going to think I'm weird but I've always wanted to learn archery. I added a Horse Bow to my list. http://www.grozerarchery.com/techinfo.htm

I asked about a trip to Vegas...unfortunately it's not an option right now. We don't have enough bucks to go on a vacation like that.

Star gazing is a great idea. It's too bright where I live to see much. Maybe a trip to the Big Bend Region of Texas, in the fall, would be good. The desert is a great place to see the stars.

Jen,

If you think you'll get the saber, you'll want a nice way of displaying it.

I'd recommend this vertical wall display stand.

Looks like he already bought the gift and the "list" was just a juke. :)
I'll find out on Tuesday what it is. I'm bugging him everyday, between now and then, to tell me...  :D

Oh wait  -- surprised Rico didn't suggest this

Turkey Club
Cole slaw (you're probably not even going to eat it)
Cherry coke

No matter what the gift -- its the thought that counts (for husbands this seems to be especially true) -- ENJOY  :happybday
