So we are doing a big camp next week, I got today off.  Took my daughter to UNDERDOG- listen for our father and daughter review in the upcoming weeks.  :)

So I borrowed the camera and took some photos of our flowers in the yard.  My wife is a great gardner, so here you go...

The first is a big bunch in the right flowerbed, daisies, yellow somethings, and that's about it...

Next we move on to... daliahs...

and then the ever famous Gladiolus--

here is a really cool orange flower that I like...

again I'm not sure what this one is, but it simply rocks...

just starting to get our blueberries, one batch picked so far, and many more to come..

when what does my wandering eye spy?  Yes, old Lunkhead himself, Stripey marking the fence...

How about our Garden?  Yes, Pea Pod time...notice the cool spiderweb on it

But wait, there's still more...
some Daisies

Then a couple more...  a nice light yellow rose..

Our Veggie Garden is growing bigger...

and finally one of our hanging boxes...

Hope you enjoyed my little tour of our yard.

Peace ... Out.

Nice pics Rick! I always love pics of flowers! I might use one of these as my wallpaper.

Tell me which one you want and I'll email you the BIG file.

It's like 3 or 4 megs, but crystal clear!

Beautiful shots Rick.. tell your wife she has done a wonderful job in the garden.

Very nice pics and awesome title. :) You always post wonderful "wow, those are pretty" pictures. Keep them coming! I can't be sure, but I think the orange flower is a Zinnia. There are a million varrieties of Zinnia, and they all look different...but the leaves look similar. Could that be what you photographed? I think I love the yellow rose the best.  ;)

I wish I could grow blueberries..but alas our soil is alkiline and the tempreture is too warm. The upside to the alkiline soil and the warm temp is the fact that  I've got Rosemarry, Oregano,  and Thyme growing in every nook in my yard. Anyone need some Italian herbs?   :D

I will.  She just got back from Costco.  We have a big youth retreat that she is cooking at next week, she had to get all of the groceries.  We took the seats out of the new PT cruiser and she fit everything in the back.  Pretty amazing.  I get to water all the plants the next few days while she cooks at the church.  Should be fun.

I'll have some cool shots of the kids.  They are doing community service all week.  26 teenagers doing a "Mission Trip" in their own backyard.  We rented some vans and they will be doing yard work for people, serving at the YMCA, at the feed the Hungry program in downtown Aberdeen and more.  Should be awesome.  Every night we have a big campfire and sing with the guitars and stuff, and then they all sleep out under the stars, unless of course it rains... then... well there is the fellowship hall or modular building.  :)

I'm having a hard time deciding Rick! I like the first one, the daisies and the blueberries the most.

Awesome pics Rick!  Your wife should be very proud of the garden.  What type of camera do you use?  Love the detail in the shots.  Have fun on the trip.

I'm using a Canon Rebel XTi with a cool macro lens.  I borrowed the lens from a friend.  It takes some really nice shots.
