So I was up early with Kaylee today and look what I saw wander into our backyard.  We have several acres of woods behind us and have gotten deer in the yard once in awhile.  Lucky I had my camera handy!

Hey, that's a good size doe Rico. Nice pic.  Yep, I like wild life in my back yard. Our neighbors raised a White Tail buck that used to come over while I was gardening and insist on itching his scratchy head against my leg. I thought he was cute, until he grew antlers.

Its so cool when it's just an occassional deer, walking through your yard. But in some areas here in Central Texas, they're like a  swarm ants because people feed them....which isn't good because they don't fear people anymore. That's dangerous to the deer and the people.  :(

It looks like your deer has a scar on her side.

Yeah, I noticed the mark to after I took the picture.  Probably got it from a piece of fence or tree branch.  Michigan has a big deer population.  Well, at least until hunting season.

We saw one yesterday on our walk.  They are such graceful animals!

I have been and always will be, your friend.

Awwww, a deer. You know what I get here? Havalina, which are large, hairy, mean wild pigs, coyote's, scorpions, tarantula's, and a lot of these!  :jawdrop

Only thing on that list that I hate would be the tarantula's.  Spiders are one of the few things that have always freaked me out.  But I'm not especially fond of scorpions either.  But in Michigan it's pretty low key on that end of the animal kingdom.  Those things don't really like sub-zero weather much.

We had a HUGE tarantula in the garage last week. He was so coll, I should have taken a pic. I relocated him to  the outside, I only kill scorpions in the house.

Oh yeah, I know what you mean Bryan. We have javalina, feral Hogs, rattle snakes, scorpions and coyotes in abundance here as well...oh and add aligators to the list.  :D

Just last week, a lady was walking her two Yorkshire Terriers down the street near some scrub brush when a coyote darted out, snatch up one of her UNLEASHED dogs, and ran off with it....The other dog went after the coyote, but came back alone. Esh...what a way to go.

You never know what wildlife has in store for you...did I tell you that I lost a puppy to a hawk when I was little? Just swooped down, picked it up, and flew off. I was scarred for life.

OK....that's all for today from Debby Downer.  :-[
