Hay guys just about 2 weeks ago I got to go to Kennedy Space Center while on vacation . The whole family had a great time. The price of admition was very reasonable & your tickets were actually good to 2 days. I only wish I could have gone back a secound time. The only warning is prepair to spend some money at the gift shop. They had a ton of cool stuff to buy. Most was priced pretty cool & if you have a extra 3 grand you can buy your very own moon rock! Anyway if you find your self in Florida it's well worth the trip... :starwars: :dalek

I still have to get there someday.  Did you manage to take any pictures you could post?

I've was there a bunch of times in the early '80's. It's really awesome. I saw lot's of shuttles on Pad 39A and the launch of STS-3.

Sounds cool.. I've always wanted to visit.

That is defintely one of those places that is on my "if I am ever in the area, I'm going" list of things to see.

To date I have crossed a few off my list....Mt Rushmore, Devil's Tower, Washington DC and the Smithsonian etc.

Johnson Space Center in Houston is a great place to visit too. I wonder if the set up is similar to Kennedy Space Center. Wow...Yes, the gift shop was pricey.

Space Center Houston has a Space Vehicle Mock-up Facility,
a New Mission Control Center, Historic Mission Control Center, Space Environment Simulation Lab and an IMAX theater among other things.

I have been there  a couple of times, once in the early 70's when I was a young lad, and once in the early 90's when my kids were young. It's definitely worth the price of admission.  Until you have seen one, you have know idea how big a Saturn 5 rocket is....wow.

I also went to the Rocket Museum in Huntsville Al, also very cool.

Being a child of the 60's-70's anything to do with space travel just fascinates me.

Great suggestion Darthcooley!!

I went several years ago.  It is so awesome, and the VAB(Vehical Assemlby Building) is so HUGE.  I mean I knew it was big, but it's HUGE!

I sadly didnt get to see a launch, but I went to space camp in Huntsville, Alabama when I was younger so I feel like I've been in a launch.  :)

I have some pic's up on Flickr but we had a camera malfunction so I didn't get as many as I would have liked. I really can't wait to go back it was so cool.WE almost got to see a landing but it was canceled dur to a storm that roled in. Now once my oldest son is old enough I want to go back & try the Space Camp Weekend they have. When I was a kid I had alwys wanted to got to Space Camp. So I hope IU will get the chance to go with my boys.
