For San Diego Comic Con I am going ot make some flyers to put on a promotional table to help promote Treks  in Sci Fi. Here is my first pass.. should I change the wording... make the picture smaller.. also remember this will be in black and white because I can't afford color prints.

Ktrek

I think it looks great Kenny! How much more is it to do color? How many are you handing out?

Well I'm using my B&W copier at work.. all I'm buying are the reams of paper, also I think there is florescent green paper at work that is no longer being using I may use some of that. I am going to a make as many copies as I can (500) at least. There are these really long tables at con with tons and tons of fliers for all sorts of things.. I plan on putting stacks there all four days. If I chat with folks while in line I'll have some on me to I can hand them out.

Ktrek

IC...I thought perhaps you were having a printer do them up. If so I would have chipped in for color if it wasn't that much. It would be more of an eye grabber in color. Hope you have fun at the con!

Yeah color would be best... hmmm I might look into it and see how much it would cost to have maybe 100 printed in color.. but to be honest with the big picture and in B&W they are an eye catcher.. I'll post a B&W version of it tomorrow.

Rico

I like it Kenny!  One idea on doing it just black and white, if you can find a unique color of paper (like the green you mentioned) and copy it in black and white on that it might stand out in a sea of flyers.  Let me know if you need any money to do this.  I'd be happy to help out on the costs.

Oh my gosh -- he's taking the show national.   Ok, it's already inter-national but this could give it some nice exposure.   Neat idea Ken.

Rico

Yes - it's my first step towards global domination.  LOL!    :roflmao

Black and white can still be eye catching...but it depends on the printing process and the layout. I'd like to see what it looks like in Black and White Kenny. Good idea by the way. :)

Oh and if I can offer you some professional advice, I would suggest you drop the "www". Its not needed anymoreâ€"folks are used to typing that out now. Dropping that will allow you to make Rico's address larger. Can you bump the "t" in podcast to the left so that it lines up with the  "I" in Sci-FI. Sorry, I'm an obsessive compulsive designer.  :D

The only other thing I would suggest is a line that tells people where the podcast (other than the web site)...iTunes,  ect. But good job overall!

Thanks Jen for the suggestions.. I made some of the changes.. the "T" in podcast is now lined up. I took off the WWW in the website and made Treksf bigger. I did not add where else they could get the podcast  from ie Itunes.. I think they should go to the website and get more info. And here is it in B&W.

Rico

I like it.  Just one little thought.  Do you have any other font choices for the script at the bottom Kenny?  Something a little less blocky or something closer to the top font?  Just a thought.

Geekyfanboy

What Font  are you using on the top?

Rico

It's called FederationStarfleet.  I can send you the True Type Font file if you need it Kenny.  Let me know.

Geekyfanboy

You can you like... I already made about 50 copies.. but I can change it for future copies.
