I'm pretty impressed with New Voyages and what they have achieved. I think the episode with Chekov could have been better but it was still enjoyable. The previous time travel episode with the Guardian of Forever I really enjoyed.

I think this actually looks really cool, and if the acting isn't really as good as the actual series, well, that's not saying a whole lot, since they had to create new sets on that thing every week for all the guest stars chewing the scenery!

I'm not sure they ever even FED Shatner; he lived on a steady diet of Styrofoam rocks and alien pancakes!

For me it's always relative.  These things are free and I think do a good job of capturing the feel of the original series, which is great.  Plus, these folks are true fans to go through all this and actually end up with a pretty slick production at the end of it.  Really looking forward to watching it.

I'm with you Rico.. these are true fans. They get nothing out of this other then the satisfaction of making something that they love. Kudos to those fan film makers.
