Happy 30th Anniversary Star Wars

 :starwars: May 25th (Today) marks the 30th anniversary of one of my all time favorite movies and series, I can't believe it's been 30 wonder years.  :r2d2 I was seven years old when I saw this space movie for the first time. As soon as the little ship being fired on came across the screen followed by the really, really big ship I was hooked.  Star Wars started me on my path to Geekhood. Star Wars has shaped my life so much, that I couldn't imagine my life without it. It was Star Wars action figures that began my now very large toy collection.  :dstar Star Wars let my imagination soar and started my love of sci fi and fantasy.  Star Wars was and is simply the best, and will forever be a huge part of my life and I wouldn't want it any other way.  :r2d2line

Ahh, the summer of 1977.  Those were the days.  I probably saw the movie 20 times then before it finally left theaters months later.  I don't think another movie will ever capture the imaginations of the public like that one did at the time.  Happy 30th STAR WARS!

Happy 30th Star Wars. It made a big impact on my life when I first saw it as a kid, and still is an impact today. I have vague memories of the 70's, but Star wars is really the strongest memory I have of those times.

It is hard to believe that it has been 30 yrs from the first star wars. George Lucas has certainly come along way in 30 yrs.
