This is completely not Sci-Fi, but I'm a big fan of the TV show "24."  The new season (Day 5) is starting tonight in the States.  I'll be glued to my TV tonight and for the second part tomorrow night.  The show goes a bit over the top at times, but Jack Bauer is 'da man!   Can't wait!!   :cheering

I saw the only episode that I have ever seen of the show last night. It was pretty good.
"Do a barrel roll" - Peppy, StarFox 64
"Coincidence... I think NOT!" - Bear, Polkadot Shorts

I have never seen 24 before. The DVDs are out so I think I'll rent them. I know I know... I need to see it!

It hasn’t taken Stargate SG-1 star Michael Shanks long to find new work. His ten year stint (with a short hiatus part way through the series) as part of the SG-1 team will come to an end after the conclusion of Season Ten of the iconic SF series this summer.

It now appears that Michael has signed for a recurring role on the hit FOX Network series, “24″ which stars Emmy winner Kiefer Sutherland as agent Jack Bauer.

This could eventually lead to a big screen opportunity for Shanks as “24,” currently in its sixth season, has been slated for at least two more seasons on television, with plans already in the works for a feature film in the show’s future.
