Downloaded it a few minutes ago, automatically through iTunes.

Looking forward to this one.  My wife and I watched this VOY episode on Friday night, and I'm interested in hearing your take on it, Rico.

Rico

A fun episode to cover.  I miss having Trek on weekly and doing the podcasts helps a lot.

I think your blaster is really cool Rico. You've got some talent for that stuff.  I wish I could do that.  I tried to make a lightsaber from some online instructions and it didn't come out to impressive.  It's now a toy for my kids.  I know you showed us your bridge station you made.  Do you have more?  Maybe you should do a podcast of homemade props with tips on how to do them.

Rico

Like I said on the podcast I made it long ago with very limited money and equipment/supplies.  It's funny, now I have the money but not the time.  I'll try to highlight some of my homemade stuff from time to time.

P.S.  Wait until I show you the helm console I had made at one time!

I'm listening now.. I just have to say that I LOVE the Voyager theme song. It's one of my favotires of the Trek Themes... okay back to listening.

Another great show Rico!  I like how you dedicated the show.  Very cool.

Ok, thanks for the nice audio comments, I enjoyed the review, I too had thought some of the very same things that you touched on.  :)  The hand made Solo blaster is very cool. VERY NICE.

I used to buy cool cap guns and pretend to be Yul Brenner from Westworld.  Now that was fun.  We made cool guns out of scrap wood and bamboo shoots.  They only lasted for a few days, not anything I would ever collect.  :)

Great contest---  Nathan and I are looking forward to doing a father and son review for Phantom Menace... we are going to do our best imitation one liners from the show... be scared, be very scared.  :)

The dedication thing I just tossed in spur of the moment.  I was thinking how it's easy to take it for granted how nice some of us have it day-to-day and especially on holidays.  I actually got a little choked up thinking about all those young men and women serving over there away from home and their families.  I hope they all get back soon - safe and sound.

Darkmolerman

That thing about the familys not being together (i know bout that stuff and all) but i haven't thought about how horid it has been , one of my freind's Step Dad is in national guard and he got back late last year. Man it must be bad :(

One of kids from youth group that attended 7 years ago was killed two months ago.  It was very sad.  He was survived by his wife and child. The whole community raised the money for the family to go back to Arlington and bury him.  It was very hard on his family.

My nephew was in Iraq for a year and got back, we prayed for his safety a bunch.  I know several friends that have been or are over there right now.

That is why I kind of got choked up when Rico dedicated the show to those folks.  It has to be really hard for them.  I think we do tend to take for granted our freedom.  We are lucky and blessed to live in the USA.

nuff said.

Rico, I'm finally getting caught up on the podcasts...which is good since that means I'm exercising again!  LOL!  Anyway, not to completely move away from this serious talk about how proud of and thankful for our troops that we all are, but I have to make a comment about Tanis from Dragonlance...he's a half-elf for crying out loud!  It's also the name of my cat!!!!!  I love the Dragonlance series and also listen to The DragonHearth podcast by Tracy Hickman.  He discusses more than Dragonlance, but it is a great way to stay caught up on the movie news; it comes out in September!  WOOT!!!

Sorry Amy - that Tanis comment was from my distant memory of the Dragonlance books which I read long ago.  At least I remembered there was a Tanis in the books - hehe. ;)  So what was the name of the little hobbit like character then - think he was like a thief or something?
