I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum for this, but I'm new.   Feel free to move this wherever it belongs.

Hey Rico, I think you should talk about the Futurama Episode, "Where No Fan Has Gone Before" in your next podcast.  It's one of my personal favorites, and has tons of Star Trek refferences.

Bender: "Can people who hate Star Trek leave?"
Walter Koenig: "Good question!"   ;D

Love the podcast!  :thumbsup

That's an idea.  I have seen that Futurama a few times.  I'm planning on focusing more on Saturday morning type shows, but I'll keep Futurama in mind too.

Rico,

Since you did mention Saturday morning and the subject of ideas was raised, how about (as a later subject) Supermarionation shows. Stuff like "Supercar", "Fireball XL-5", "Thunderbirds", etc. Heck, you could probably do a whole show on the Gerry Anderson connection from "UFO", "The Protectors", "Space: 1999" through the Derek Meddings connection to the Superman and James Bond movies.

Oh yeah, we can't forget the adventures of Capt. Larry Dart, Slim and Husky in "Planet Patrol".

Understanding that these technically aren't cartoons, it might be nice to discuss them at a later date.

Rico

I have done a little on Space: 1999 before and still plan on doing a whole show covering it.  I'm a big Thunderbirds fan too.  I'll see what I can fit in.

Those ship designs blew my mind when I was a kid. They remained relevant for quite some time. And who could forget that theme song?
