Oh yes, don't forget fox leader!  that is a laugh riot.

"Remember, remember show 211."
Pretty entertaining stuff all that.

Yes I have heard of that show mention.  I think I will need to download that again and listen, that is I I listen to it the first time.

I just looked at that episode on the slice archives today.  I remember now listening to that podcast.  It was the one where he plays out all of it unedited.  I don't think I want to put myself though that torture again lol.
I am going with the best information that I have.

We should form a Sam Roberts fan club!  lol!!

Seriously, the entire gang seem like they are having a blast each week.  I would know nothing about merkines if it were not for the Slice gang!

I think I shall have to listen to Slice 211 again at the weekend, please don't condemn me for it as this show is addictive.  I think it's probably easier for Charlie Sheen to give up hookers and drugs than it is to stop to listening to show 211!!

Redshirt97

Yes Charile Sheen had better give up hookers and drugs for his own good. lol.

I want to know what happened to Summer. She used to be a regular on the show, but it's been forever since we heard her voice on Slice.

I find knowing what podcast hosts look like help me relate better. When I listen to KoTG, I can picture you and Jenni in front of your mics!

I listen to podcasts at work and have a substantial subscriptions list. I am always looking for variety to my daily podcast listening. I love sci-fi, but can't listen to a full day of sci-fi geeky fanboy chat. I make a playlist everyday for my podcasts and ensure I have at least 11 hours worth of stuff on there. I jumble my comedy with my serious. I alternate with a long podcast to a couple of short and then back to long. I spread my absolute favorite ones over the whole day. Periodically I have a cull in which I get rid of ones I've grown weary of and find new ones. Often I will go back to these a few months down the line.....like I say, variety!

Some of the better ones I've found which are, in my eyes, fairly unique are-

The Moth Podcast- This is a 15-20 minute long weekly(ish) podcast of true stories told before a live audience without notes. Some are good.....some are brilliant! You get funny stories. Moving stories....stories with a moral.....life experience stories etc...

Movies For The Blind- This is a podcast put together by a Canadian lady called Val. She gets the audio from old public domain movies and adds a descriptive audio track to it to make an audiomovie suitable for blind or visually impaired listeners....it is also very good if, like me, you drive machinary for a living. Obviously, most of the movies are old time ones for them to be public domain and the movie genres are hit and miss dependant on your personal tastes. But there are some great horror and sci-fi movies along with romance or musicals or comedies. The back catologue is well worth looking through. She has even done the original movie to I Am Legend, The Last man On Earth starring Vincent Price.

The Onion- A daily podcast of fake news stories that rarely exceed 1min 30 seconds per episode. I love starting everyday with an Onion story

Dan Carlins Hardcore History- If anyone had told me a couple of years ago that I'd be listening to a history podcast by choice, I'd have laughed in their faces.....well I am. Dan makes history interesting.....I won't say fun. Some of the topics covered are frighteningly gruesome. But they are true events and I feel it is inportant to let people know how bad times were......I highly recommend this one!

Stuff You Should Know- Another interesting podcast in which the hosts talk about stuff.....sometimes it may be science related. Other times not. Most episodes are around 30 minutes long though the real early ones are only about 5 minutes. I have just downloaded some of the back catalogue. As an example of the variety of what talk about, these include episodes about Octopus, Hypnosis, Japanese Internment Camps and Biospeleology....whatever that is. They are always interesting!!

TV Cream Podcast- Hard to describe this. It is a very British, scripted comedy show that wouldn't sound amiss on our BBC Radio 4 station. They have just done 4 episodes on the top 50 moments from UK soap opera, Coronation Street to celebrate the shows 50th birthday (I think). They did a couple of election specials about the time in which they looked back documentary style at gaffs and comedy moments from previous elections. There has been shows about christmas TV and Summer Tv in the UK. All are accompanied by many sound bites from TV of the 60's 70's and 80's. I love this show, but unfortunately, they come out infrequently. I'm confident that Meds would love it. Others would just have to give it a go!

Max Buffers Media Museum- This is another in a similar comedy style to the above. Max Buffer and Terry Bland are the two fictional hosts. They are media veterans who ahave worked in the British TV and film industry for years and, using this podcast, they are passing on their knowledge of the media world. It really should be listened to appreciate the tone. Again, these are frustratingly infrequent!!

Scott Sigler- He has a weekly show, but you will need to catch up with his stories before leaping into these. Scott is a sci-fi horror movie writer often described as a cross between Stephen King and Crichten....and I have to agree. His stories are genious and it is aonly a matter of time before we get a TV show or movie set in the "Siglerverse"! His full audiobooks can be downloaded for free in full hosted by Podiobooks (also on iTunes etc...) Once you have caught up with his back log of books, I'm confident you will subscribe to the current story and his weekly podcast. The guy is awesome. If you like either Crichton or King, I guarantee you'll love this. Gruesome horrific violence with many sci-fi elements....elements which are frighteningly plausible!!

Most of the others I subscribe to are political or TV show/movie specific or general geek chat or fanmade audiodrama's etc...

Meds

Oh Dan Carlins Hardcore History is awesome. I get excited when i see a new epsode comes available.

After much consideration, I'm going to have to cut back on a lot of the podcasts that I listen to. there is just less and less time in the day for me to hear everything. I'm going to try to cut back to less than 12 hours a week. That should cover commute time, lunch, and some cleaning, but I swear that every day, someone I know, or a friend of a friend is starting a new Podcast and you try to support them by listening, but then you miss something and suddenly you have a weeks worth of casts that you're trying to get caught up on.

I figure that I can go two shows from each of the subjects that I like and a few eclectic ones here and there.
