YAY!!!! Finally I can't wait to see where this story continue. After the series finale so many years ago I look forward to catching up with my favorite Slayer and to top it off Joss is writing it himself.. gotta love that.

Yes I am very excited as well. I have been collecting Buffy and Buffy-verse suplemental comics for about a year now-- including Fray (the Slayer of the future). Check it out if you haven't. Can't wait for season 8. However I have no clue what they will do from there. Cleveland?? But I know Joss will find a way. Totally exciting. I am not a teenage girl, I just write like one. Peace out homies.

Archangela, you've got my favorite Buffy quote as the saying under your avatar pic.  As you know, that's from "Anne" the third season premiere episode, where Buffy has run away from Sunnydale and that line is her reclaiming her role as the slayer.  That's my favorite episode of all.

I'm looking forward to Season 8 in the comics.

Checked out the article pickard... awesome. Even the comments about Galactica are cool. Yes, I feel like the episode "Anne" is picked on by fans a bit as not the favorite. I know that the ep is not my absolute favorite but the line, the moment when Buffy re-claims her Slayer-ness is the best in the series I think.

Joss is writing it.. I can't see how it can be bad... and i too miss Buffy very much.

Rico

You're right Kenny.  With Joss writing I'm sure I'll like them.  It's going to be great to have new Buffy stories - finally.  And then after that .....  a BUFFY MOVIE!!!  (Well, I can wish can't I....)

I loved the bit in the preview pages about Andrew and The Immortal.

This is going to be good.

Buffy Comic Gets New Print Run

Dark Horse comics, which just released the first issue of a new Buffy the Vampire Slayer "season eight" comic, announced that it will order a second printing. Orders have exceeded the initial printing of more than 100,000 copies of the comic, from Buffy creator Joss Whedon, which picks up the story of the Sunnydale Slayer from the end of the show's seventh and final season on TV.

"Admittedly, our expectations were already gigantic, but this has surpassed even those," Dirk Wood, Dark Horse's director of marketing, said in a statement. "We couldn't be happier about how this has launched and have high hopes for upcoming issues."

The upcoming second printing will feature a full-bleed version of the Jo Chen cover, with some of the design elements removed for a cleaner look, the company said. The new version will arrive in stores with an on-sale date of March 28, a week before the release of issue number two.

It came out this past Wednesday.  Picked it up at my local comic shop.  I already read it.  I really liked it.  Things have changed a bit in the "Buffyverse" but the Whedon writing style comes through.  The art and story are really good.  Highly recommended for us Buffy-fanatics!

Geekyfanboy

I'm glad you liked it.. I'm really looking forward to reading it.

Rico

Just read issue #2!  WOW!  Even better than issue one - and issue one was great.  These comics really have the TV series feel.  I can't recommend them enough.  If you are a Buffy fan - buy then - now!

I just got issue one and haven't had time to read it yet.. I'm glad you liked 2 better.
