I really want to see this more due to the subject matter  than the whole Frank Miller thing.  It looks great.

I hope it is better than Sin City.  That movie wasn't necessarily bad but I thought it was horrifyingly overrated.

Just got back from this amazing movie!  Loved it - just loved it!  The visuals, the style, the story, the action, everything was perfect!  There were things done in this movie I have never seen before.  Simply - it's spectacular!  Any fan of this type of genre film should definitely see it.

Tiny warning - this movie is not for young kids - at all.  Teenagers/high school age and up should be fine.  It is rated R for good reasons.

Woweee -- what a ride.  I was reading about Leonidas on the internet and the movie did a great job with his portrayal.  In the context, the excessive gore and mutilation was expected.   Definitely not for the faint of heart.   The look and filming style was stunning.   Puts you right in the middle of the action and the drama.  The degree of detail was amazing -- all those 6-packs ? -- they're real, not CGI.   I was reading the actors were physically drained getting prepared for these roles.   Also, a new Spiderman preview.  The beginning of a cool 2007 for movies.

Again I really want to see this movie.  If the subject matter interests people, I hear they are making a movie based on the book Gates of Fire which a historical fiction novel about the battle of Thermopylae.

I saw it on Saturday night and loved it.  It is elegantly brutal, but the dialogue tends to be a bit cheesy in parts.

I also think that Sin City was a better film.

I give it 3 out of 4 stars.

I will have to wait at least a month to see it here, but I am excited about it. The visual concept looks like a winner to me and I simply love how they managed the colors.

I never got to read the comic book, but being a Frank Miller thing, I bet I won't be disappointed.

I like to work out regularly so after exiting the theater after watching 300 this past weekend, I told my friends: "Man, every Spartan had a six-pack.  Unreal."  I still can't get over that. . .I thought they were CGI but markinro says otherwise.  Unreal but true I suppose.

It was a good movie of course.
