This is the awesome launch of the Oriaon Capsule by a Delta 4 heavy rocket.

Let's do more of these!!!

A longer view of the entire launch with an onboard view from a rocket mounted camera.
At two minutes into the launch, leaving the atmosphere and all grows quite.
Three minutes in at 100 miles up, the rocket passes mach 5 and shields are jettisoned.

Really cool! Funny that it reminded me of the Thunderbirds though in that it looked almost like Gerry Anderson produced it. LOL

The Orion launch has been getting a lot of grief from some in the media who call it 'A rocket to nowhere'.
Why not go to the moon and continue the exploration that was only started?
One percent of the national budget for a rejuvanated moon program sounds like a bargain.
