This is the first time in a loooong time I've been excited for a fighting game. Being the huge DC geek that I am, I have been watching all the fights on YouTube. Love the character design and the nods to comic stuff, like punching a guy through a Boom Tube, or the city of Kandor in the Fortress of Solitude. April is gonna be an expensive month for me in games, between this and Trek.

I'm pretty hyped for this. I believe it just came out, but I haven't gotten around to picking it up.

I'm thinking I'll likely get it on the Wii U, as that's mostly all I play right now.

The studio behind it is great at making 3D fighting games, so I expect this will be pretty good.

I've been playing it all morning, on Story Mode. Pretty fun so far. There's also a STAR Labs missions mode, where you have specific goals to meet. I love the super moves, lots of DC geekiness here.

Do you have to buy new to play over Live (enter a code or something to access multiplayer) or can I rent this and play online?  Also does it seem more or less violent than MK vs. DC Universe?  My kids would love a Batman/Superman fighting game but not with alot of gore.

It's not super violent at all, really. No blood. It's superhero violence. I don't think you need to buy it new to play online.

I'm hoping to pick this one up soon. Are there any unlockables to work towards, or is it pretty much straight up arcade mode only?

No, there's some unlockables, mostly skins. As far as characters go, I think you have to get DLC.

Ugh. Not a fan of DLC in fighting games at all. Still, I really want to try it.
