I could have sworn there was a thread for this movie but I can't seem to find it.

Check out this link for the release of the new Kick Ass 2 trailer.. looks pretty epic. This is a Red-Band trailer so you'll have to enter date of birth to watch. It has strong language.

Yeah, I can't believe that's Jim Carrey! Looks to be pretty cool...the source book is actually shockingly brutal, I wonder if it's going to be toned down somewhat. I mean, there was stuff in there I couldn't really take. Movie looks fun though.

Trailer looks pretty good. Really enjoyed the first film and have followed all the comics in this series - even the most recent "Hit Girl" series which is pretty frakking violent (as they all are). Hoping they keep it that way which is a lot of the point of the comics - that violence like this is a nasty business.

Agreed. Only so much even an "R" movie can have in it - especially one made in the States.

I'm not familiar with the source material but found the violence and language, especially as it applied to Hit Girl, to really distinguish the first film in my mind. My jaw was literally on the floor watching it, I was shocked, but was able to appreciate it and not be offended. Assuming they continue along the same route, I am very much looking forward to this. But again, I am not easily offended.

The first one was a lot of fun to watch! The 2nd definitely looks entertaining. I still want to read the comic at some point too. Maybe I should do that before it comes out. Has anybody read them? Is the first one pretty close to the movie?
