This week it's a special Halloween show with a look at the 1981 film, "An American Werewolf in London."  I talk about the recent work Halloween party, some film stuff and a collectible too.  Enjoy this special spooky and scary cast everyone!   :vampire

Good review this week, this was a must see movie when it came out.
Not for kids but fun and creepy too, like each time Jack would appear he was falling apart more and more.

This is on my list with Donny Darko and The Hidden.

I dunno about the "not for kids" part, I saw this when I was 12 and fell in love with it, thought it was funny, scary, and totally awesome.  I was a weird kid though, so YMMV.

It's rated R for many reasons:  language, violence, nudity (male & female).  Maybe we have a different idea of what is for kids vs. adults.

I had a thing for Jenny Agutter (since Logan's Run and Equus), so you know I didn't miss this one in the theaters..

I think older kids (maybe 13+) would really enjoy it, though everything Rico said is true

While watching the Apollo space program documentary 'For All Mankind' today, I came across a spooky story as told by astronaut Charles Duke about a dream he had during his three days on the moon surface.

Charles own words would have been a good audio submission for this weeks 'full moon' podcast - doh!

"We were driving the Rover north towards the Ray Crater. As we came over one of the ridges we discovered a set of tracks out in front of us going east-west. We got very excited, told Houston, and they gave us permission to follow the tracks. You could tell by the tread marks that the vehicle was going to the east. So we turned right, to the east. And towards the eastern end of the valley we came upon this vehicle that looked very similar to the Lunar Rover, with two figures seated in it. We radioed that we'd found this car, we start to describe it, and they start to get very excited. So we stopped the rover and turned the TV camera on. I ran over to the vehicle and pulled up the visor of one of the astronauts and found I was looking at myself. The other fellow looked like John [Young]. We took some samples of the spacesuits and the rover and brought them back to earth. When these were analysed by scientists they turned out to be hundreds of thousand of years old.
It was such a vivid dream that I didn't tell my wife [Dotty] about it until I actually got back from the moon. But I remember when we got to lunar orbit and first saw our landing site, I looked down to see if I could see a set of tracks, going east to west." :skull  :skull

Loved the American Werewolf podcast!  This is as close to a perfect movie as you can get, just the right amount of humor, horror, great effects, great performances, great music.  Loved that you focused so much on the songs.  Especially the use of Van Morrison's Moondance.  That's such an erotic song and used perfectly in the scene in this movie.  Jenny Agutter's performance was just lovely, so sweet an innocent and sexy at the same time.  I totally fell in love with her before I ever saw Logan's Run, from this film.  I never knew about Belushi and Akroyd being considered for those roles either, great bit of trivia and as much as I loved Naughton and Dunne in this I can imagine it being just as great or better with those actors.   Thanks Rico for covering one of my favorite films of all time!

Glad you liked the cast Joby.  Yeah, the movie really uses music well.  Enjoyed doing this one a lot - especially for Halloween.

Loved this cast, loved it that much i went out and replaced my old vhs with a nice shiny special edition DVD (not Blu-Ray the DVD has better features). Rico, you should ask for a share of the profits for this one. :)

Hi Rico, I just listend to the podcast this past weekend. it was great pocast.  I have never seen this movie but I do remember seeing in it advertised when I was in high school. I was a freshman when it was first released.  I just wasn't interested at the time but after listening to the podcast, I might try to watch this someday.
I am going with the best information that I have.

I just watched it again on Netflix! Holds up great.

Just watched 'Curse of the Were-Rabbit', LOL!

While it's no 'Werewolf in London',  Wallace and Gromit are awesome, going to make this a yearly treat :)
