It's the first time we've had NY weather on the news over here like that. Radio and TV.

The Boeing guys we deal with in Philadelphia just stayed at home on Monday. I think they're on the river?
If it is the Boeing office I am thinking of, they are outside the city proper - and very close to the Delaware River.  Many of the bridges to New Jersey (the river separates NJ from PA) were closed.

It's incredibly unimportant compared to the human factor, but it appears the Enterprise over at the Intrepid museum may have sustained some damage  as well:

All we ended up with here in central Ohio was rain and wind. And the wind wasnt that bad. They said it was going to be worst than it was. I'm glad they were wrong. Up near the great lakes they did get it pretty bad. Everybody continue to be safe.

We ended up loosing a few shingles off the roof - nothing too bad.  Some neighbors lost gutters, and siding.  Fences, and landscaping ruined.  On the way to work I noticed that most places are still dark along my commute.  Public transit starting running again in Philadelphia today.

My family's shore house in Tom's River is completely flooded yet still there...this is awful . I spent my childhood summers there and at seaside which is gone now :( I'll probably be headed north in a day or so to help out with the recovery. There was no flood insurance on the home which is normal there as it never flooded so many people there will have lost everything.

Uggh - that is terrible.  I have a friend with a home in Ocean City - they are still not allowed back on the island to check for damage.

I heard from Sue from Anomaly Supplemental. She lives four miles from the sunken Seaside Heights roller coaster. She said there are eight people in her house right now and they, of course, have no power...but they have plenty of food. She was able to get to work today in NYC.

This is quite an image of Sandy...

Yikes!  There is a big Nor'easter header our way as well - due to hit Wednesday.  Many in the area still do not have power.  My roof hasn't been repaired yet either - getting it wrapped before the next storm hits.

Well hope everyone is safe. We have had quite a bit of flooding over the years, I've seen a whole village go under. Saying that the pub stayed open and I even saw someone canoe to the post office which was ironic considering all the post boxes were underwater. Hmm. Anyway thoughts are with everyone affected. Stay warm, stay safe.

Has she ever run across the "Jersey Shore" crew in action?

Looting?? makes me so sad that people will do that kind of crap when people are in need.

Doesn't take long for the animals to come out.
