They should keep that fact the same for both films. It is all Marvel and people watching these movies certainly wouldn't care what studio is making it. And with the time difference in the movies I know they couldn't use the same actor but if I'm not mistaken the actor for A2 is also a younger man. I'll go check that out. If that is the case they should have used an older actor. Of course they are different Universes after all so I guess it doesn't make a difference.
It would also cause other issues since the films are made by rival companies.

Should I watch these, I am very wary of spoiling cool stuff since I am definitely going to see this midnight opening if there is one.

I'm spoiler-phobic too.  There are a few little things, but nothing major in my view.  They do sort of explain how Wolverine gets moved through time in the movie which is kind of a new twist on time travel I thought.
