I was poo-pooing this idea when I first heard about it, but Bryan Fuller is behind it, and he's pretty damn good. He's describing it as a tone similar to Harry Potter and an American Horror Story the whole family can watch. Color me intrigued.

I loved watching the original "Munsters" but I'm willing to give this a shot too.

Well there have been lots of ups and down with this show/pilot.

It was finally made and had a great cast.. but unfortunately NBC did not like it but they are going to air the pilot as a Halloween special in a week or so..

Here's the trailer for it.

Watched this finally and didn't really care for it much.  It was so far removed from The Munsters I'm not even quite sure why they didn't just make it an original concept.  I doubt this pilot will go to series.

I put the original Munsters on for the kids and they were like "why is everything grey?"  Odd that this didn't come up during the Three Stooges

I really enjoyed it. The SFX were pretty awesome for a TV series. Also it's from Bryan Fuller who did one of my all time favorite TV series Pushing Daisies and it kind of had that same unworldly feel.. I loved it. I think this series had alot of potential too bad NBC didn't see that. I am thankful to NBC for airing the pilot. 99.9% of the pilots that are made never see the light a day.

Too bad, I kinda dug it in a quirky way.

Best line...'stop playing with your food'.

not a lot different than the original pilot, except for the canned laughter and homicide.  :P

Forgot about the '80s sequel ' The Munsters Today' - sooo much pastel.
