So I have been rewatching this on Netflix, like for the first time since it went off the air, at least in re-runs. You know, it's incredibly goofy, but it really revels in it's goofiness and is surprisingly watchable. So much is done tongue in cheek and Erin Grey and Gil Gerrard are clearly in on the joke. Despite the fact that all the sound effects are re-cycled from original BSG, which I am also watching on Blu-Ray, the ship designs are great and the effects a step-up. At least they don't keep reusing the same f/x shots like BSG did due to budget issues. If you are an original fan, which I was, had the figures and that sweet big Starfighter ship, give it a watch, it will put a smile on your face.

Loved it when I was very young.  I remember I had the action figures of Buck, the kid, and the dog.

What dog?! Sure that wasn't Boxy and Muffitt from BSG?

Whoops you may be right!  Buck Rogers was Tweeky the robot, yes?  My brain is cloudy.

Netflix huh, maybe I'll give this a look again, haven't seen it since the 70s

I loved this show when I was younger.  I had a crush on Erin Grey - and Princess Ardahla wasn't hard to look at either.  There were some great guest stars as well.  Jack Palance, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Gary Coleman.  Very campy, but very fun.

I have the dvd set.  LOVED Buck Rogers when I was a kid.  Taped all the episodes on cassette and listened when I would go to bed.

I have been and always will be, your friend.

I loved it when it was on in the late 1970's.  I never missed a show.  It used to come Saturday nights, right before Battlestar Galactica.  I also have it on DVD.  It still fun to watch.

Feathers

I used to watch it way back when but I don't know if I dare do so now!

I used to love those starfighters (same control stick etc as the original Vipers too).

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

This is one of the best Nostalgia shows.  Erin Grey as Major Wilma Deering is a all time favorite Scifi babe.

Feathers

I thought she made Colonel at some point?

Right!  She was a Colonel.  I'm old enough to have known her as a Major.   LOL.
