Will Cleese sign on? That's the real question.

Looks like he has - according to the article - Idle is the hold-out so far.  Isn't he Brother Medz's most favorite of all the Pythons?  ;)

Gilliam is the true genius in Python in my book.  Every one of his movies has been a pure delight to me, and I dearly love the extras on the DVDs for his films.  The criterion editions of Brazil and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas are some of my most prized DVDs.  Cant wait for this to bear fruit.

I love Gilliam as well.  So completely off beat.  I even loved Baron Münchhausen - which didn't do too well.

One of my favorites is Lost in La Mancha, which is basically an extended DVD extra about a movie that never got made.  And one of the more recent ones, Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus is fantastic.  The only one of his films that hasn't resonated deeply with me is Tideland, but I need to give that another try.

Edit to add:  Man just peeked at his IMDB page, that man is BUSY.

Idle, sheesh the bloke will be squeezing the dollars out of the thing. Will be good to see a Python collaboration again even if its not a 'python movie'
Did anyone see The flying circus drama that was on. It was brilliant and summed up Idle pretty well.

No, any thoughts on where I can see it?  That is something I would love to watch.

I always thought that Cleese was the big asshole of the group, but recently I think Idle has taken the crown away from him.

I don't know any of the history that seems to cast Idle in a bad light.  Seems I have to do some more digging.  One of our guilty pleasure movies is 'Nuns on the Run' - where he stars with Robbie Coltrane.

Has anyone seen this?  Monty Python Almost the Truth (the Lawyers Cut) .  It doesn't appear to have been released on DVD or in the US at all.  Looks really interesting too.

edit:  quick Amazon search revealed it is actually on DVD and BluRay, only $15 for all the episodes on DVD, I'll have to check it out

Its a very detailed DVD Joby worth a look.

Holy Flying Circus is coming out on DVD this month but not sure if it is available in America.

Apparently Idle ripped the other Pythons for getting "millions" of dollars for Spamalot while essentialy doing nothing.  Cleese responded on Twitter saying (I'm paraphrasing here) The other Pythons and I have received around 900,000 dollars while Eric made approx. 13 million. --- It smelled like bad blood.

Sounds about right. What Idle fails to remember is that the majority of Holy Grail and Life of Brian (of which Spamalot is a mix of) was wrote by Cleese, Palin and Jones.
