I almost wish he had been playing Ferris grown up and not Matthew Broderick.

Idk, I'm pretty unimpressed with them using a teaser for an ad....A car ad for that matter.

So what?

80s nostalgia doesn't mean the same thing to Tim that it does to us, Bryan.

So what?

It's a car ad.  How many car ads do we have in a single day?  How many with famous actors?

I guess I don't have nostalgia to think that this is very cool, no.  It's about a Honda CRV with Matthew B.

What annoys me about the trailer is that they tease it to be some significant deal but it's just an advertisement.  Sure, a higher quality than usual ad, but just an ad.  Sorry if I'm being overly critical about the ad, but thats just my opinion.

Clearly. You stay in your demographic, Tim, we will stay in ours. :) This ad just hits a lot of nice buttons for me.

And we are the target demographic, so conceptually the ad is quite inspired, really. They are appealing to people who buy cars, not kids in college, Tim.

How did they tease it to be something more than it was? They showed 10 seconds and said stay tuned. Anything else is an assumption. You assumed something, but there was nothing there to suggest it was something great and fantastic. It was 10 second and a stay tuned to the super bowl.

LOVED that ad.  Hilarious!  SO Fun!

I have been and always will be, your friend.

I do have to say they are taking kind of a huge risk comparing their CRV to the Ferrari in the original film ;)  I give Honda huge points for having a great sense of humor about themselves in that scene with all the sparks flying.  I agree that I'd have liked to have seen Alan Ruck too, would have been nice to have thrown him a part if he would have done it.

I liked that Video, especially the part of him singing on the Chinese float.
