The Tough Mudder Arizona race, pure insanity!

So what happens when an ex-British Special Forces dude decides that his training was so much fun everyone should be able to enjoy it! The Tough Mudder race series is contested all across the US and the UK. This was it's first time in Arizona and of course my crazy wife thought it seemed like a perfectly reasonable thing to do. The even was staged ut at the old GM Proving Grounds in Mesa. 12 miles of running with a new obstacle challenge every mile. It's not so much a race as a team event and one of pure survival. The waiver says in fact "You likely will get hurt." Jamie enlisted her friend Joy and Joy's boyfriend Wil as her compatriats in insanity. I took a pass as I was honestly afraid of injury and have a lot of big races coming up. And I am a chicken. :) I was ab;e to run around the course and shoot video as the three of them did some of the obstacles. Jamie and Joy are the one's in the matching fluorescent yellow hot shorts. And let me not forget the Walk the Plank which Jamie was sure she would skip. But thanks to a new friend they met on course who helped her through, she overcame!
