I agree.  It especially took off about the middle episodes when Martha dropped in.  The last half of the season had some really great episodes.  Some very emotional stuff!

I will be the first to admit that I got emotional with each episode after martha showed.

Just watched the last three episodes of season two... this was such a great season. As others have said a very emotional season. And of course the ending and losing two main characters.. wow.. Owen didn't effect me as much as Toshika.. maybe because Owen died in my middle of the season.. I really like Toshika and it was hard to see her go. Not sure what they are going to do for the third season now that there are only three members lefts of Torchwood.. I guess will see some new faces.

Does anyone know why the cut the cast down?

Not a clue, but the rumors were that Mickey and Martha would be joining the cast of series three. Now that Freema has been signed to a non-Doc Who show, I doubt the validity of those rumors.
