That's a great clip Kenny.  This looks like a great season!

I know I'm very excited to see this next season.. James seemed liked a great addition to the season. And we also get three episodes with Martha, which will be awesome.

Just got done watching season two premiere. Overall a good episode and Star Wars is brought up in a Very Funny way. :spidey

Thanks for the heads up Spidey.. I didn't know it aired over in the UK already.

Trekkygeek

I saw it and loved it. James Marsters brought a new level to it and there were some really cool (and daring) scenes between him and Captain Jack. I think I'm really going to enjoy this season.

Wow.. just finished watching the first episode of the second season... so much character building in just one episode. All the characters seem better written. Loved the Star Wars reference.. very funny. Yes James Marsters character was one of those ones that you love to hate... I'm not not quite sure why they just didn't kill him.. I mean what he did to the torchwood team. But than again if they did he couldn't give Jack that bit a news at the very end. This looks to be an AWESOME season ahead.. can't wait.

I'm going to wait until BBC America has it on next weekend.  Should be a lot of fun.

Trekkygeek

I don't think they could kill Marsters Kenny. The guy was great and it leaves it open for him to appear again. A character with that kind of magnetism can't go to waste. I also got the feeling that he wasn't all bad and that he may team up with Torchwood later.
As for the character development, you're right. This second season doesn't need to explore it too much, last season dealt with that. They just went straight in with the action and I think they found their feet. The next episode promises to be very dark and violent, I only hope that they deal with this aspect better this season. Season one seemed to be sweary, violent and saucy just for the sake of it. I am hoping  it is dealt with a little more maturely. Great start though

I don't like watching on BBC America because they are edited for the US.

I loved it and I hope they don't change a thing. I loved season one for exactly the reasons that trekkygeek mentioned. I don't think they should change the formula too much because then it would be too much like Doctor Who and not deserving of a spinoff.

On another note has anyone been following the Sarah Jane show? I caught a few and think it's a great kids show, but I haven't went back for more.

Really??  Well, that's not right.  Edited how?  For time, content?  All of them are edited down??  I watched them all via torrents last season because they aired so much earlier in the UK.  I saw no content that I recall that would need to be cut for US TV.

Geekyfanboy

They edit for language and adult situation.. I noticed the differences. Just because it's a BBC show and airs on BBC America it still have to be guided by the US FCC rules. That's why I prefer torrents over US broadcast.

Rico

Well crud.  I guess it's off to the torrents I go.  I might watch the first episode of season two from both places and compare.

Torchwood Season Two Coming To USA This Saturday

Just want to remind all our "Torchwood" fans that beginning with the new Season Two American audiences will no longer have to wait a full season before watching Captain Jack and his crew fight the evil aliens slipping through the rift.

Beginning Saturday, January 26th, BBC America will begin airing Season Two of Torchwood at 9:00PM EST.

Geekyfanboy

Just finished watching season two episode two.. all I have to say is WOW... the writing is 200 times better this season, so powerful and engaging.. the acting, the camera work, the music.. everyone has stepped up their game. I know it's only been two episodes.. but man this season is starting off great.

BTW.. tonight was the premiere of Torchwood Season Two on BBCAmerica.
