New podcast is up covering 1978's "Halloween" and other scary goodies.  This was a real fun one to do.  Hope you all enjoy it!

Awesome, love thois film. There was a great programme on here called History of Horror with Mark Gatiss and he went to where they filmed this film, it looks exactly the same, including the hedge where Michael stands out from.

Cheers Rico :D

They just had a kind of making of Halloween on Biography channel the other day and I caught part of it. There were 3 movies which scared the crap out of me in the 70's: Halloween, Jaws, and ALIEN.

Of those three, Halloween is the one I haven't seen. I guess partly because Halloween itself just wasn't that big a thing over here and partly because that was just the sort of thing we didn't watch.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Rico

I hope this podcast gets you to watch this classic film Mike.  Well worth checking it out.

Bryancd

Wait, one more, The Thing, although that may have been very early '80's. That movie was terrifying!

It may well although Horror isn't really my genre. I know my wife wouldn't touch it!

Sadly, I think it was on over the weekend so I could have recorded it then and watched it tonight (when Jane's out!) but I didn't so I can't.

Like I said on the podcast, horror isn't really my genre either.  But this film is still worth watching for fans of movies in general.  There are techniques used here that set the stage for many films to come - even non-horror films.  But of course, it's up to everyone if they want to watch it or not.

P.S.  I don't think I emphasized this much on the podcast, but this film is NOT for kids by any means (rated R).  There is of course the violence, but there are sexual situations and brief nudity parts too.  Just wanted to point that out.

Awesome podcast Rico, great tune from Rick and brilliant music chat from Vartok ( the only time so far I have got one of his questions right lol)

Rico

Glad you enjoyed it.  Was a fun show to do for Halloween.

Well it isn't really a slasher movie if there aren't any boobs :D

Great podcast Rico, horror isn't my genre at all but I keep meaning to watch the "seminal" horror/slasher films.
