Finally got a Wii.. hooked it up this morning and Harry and I haven't stopped playing all day.. we been playing Wii resort.. so much fun. I set up an account with Netflix and should be getting the DVD that is needed to stream off of Wii.. just hope my internet is fast enough.

If anyone wants to connect via Wii.. send me your Wii number in a PM and I'll do the same.

Rico

That's cool Kenny.  Lynn and I actually play a lot of Wii Sports Resort.  At least when I'm home.  It's a lot of fun!

From what I understand about netflix streaming the feed throttles itself based on your connection. It'll just degrade the video quality.

Yeah that was what i heard also. This is really why I have not done any streaming yet. Plus I do not know of anyone that streams DTS-HD.
Ripley: Ash. Any suggestions from you or Mother?
Ash: No, we're still collating.
Ripley: [Laughing in disbelief] You're what? You're still collating? I find that hard to believe.

We stream via XBox, and it's not really bad at all. The HD stuff looks pretty good. The only issue I have with it is that (at least for the XBox), you have to keep authorizing NetFlix on other machines (i.e. one XBox or another - yes, we have two). Kenny, you'll have to let me know how it looks on the Wii (yes, we have one of those too :)) We have the Wii NetFlix disc, just haven't loaded it yet. Al

Once you auth it, you're golden. I have 4 xbox authorized on my account and haven't had to go back. I think it depends on the level of your membership on how many devices you can have authorized at once.

We have been using Wii-flix for some time now, and haven't had any issues.

We have the gold membership, but I think the issue is that we only have one. I have to keep authorizing my gamertag on the other machine, which probably wipes out the NetFlix auth on the machine, etc.

Got the Wii hooked up to Netflix streaming and my wireless internet is too slow.. the download a movie and you watch it for about four minutes and then it's "retrieving" for another 10 minutes, then you watch about 4 minutes and it does it again. I'm really bummed that it's not working. Loved the idea of being about to stream netflix.

Might try a direct cable connection and see if that works any better.

Won't it be nice when we don't have to worry about bandwith one day? We are getting there.....
