Congratulations Jen and Angela. You do a awesome show and this award is well deserved :)

Feathers

Congrats on the award!

The last episode was...interesting. I loved the musical choices although they amused me in the sense that it's what I guess most people would assume is appropriate to the subject matter without actually knowing :)

The one thing that really made me laugh was the whole heavy breathing thing going on in the background. I assume that Russell was sitting on Angela and breathing into the mic but in the context of the discussion it came across as something else entirely!

Overall it was a great episode, I look forward to more in the series :)

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Dangelus

A fantastic episode! Iam still laughing!  :roflmao

Great job.

I know, I even think about the episode, or go to my itunes and see that goofy picture of crusher, and I'm laughing.  :)

Check your podcatchers everyone, the latest Anomaly episode has been released.
A few weeks ago, Angela and I were joined over Skype by our pals Meds
and Kell from the Waffle On podcast. Our collaborative effort features
a fun-packed chat about the classic British comedy film "Monty Python
and The Holy Grail". This latest edition of Anomaly is loaded with
quotes, a clip from a Star Wars/ Python youtube spoof, quite a few
listener audio comments, trivia and loads of laughs. Visit the Anomaly
blog to see the youtube video we talked about. You can find links to the shows we
promote there as well: http://www.anomalypodcast.blogspot.com

Anomaly is unusually long this month (1 hr and 45 minutes give or
take), but I believe it's well worth your time, especially if you love
this film. If you hate this film, you still might enjoy the
conversation...give it a shot.

FYI, we'll be announcing the winners of our Geeky Band Name contest on
our next episode.

Please remember to post feedback on iTunes and/or podcast alley.com
for Anomaly. Your reviews and ratings generate interest for our show
from potential listeners. You can also email us mp3 and/or written
comments. Just visit our site and click on "contact". There you'll
find a contact form and a widget that will allow you to leave us
voicemail. Or call directly: (432) 363-GQGC

We also have an Anomaly Forum. Got a growing community of Anomaly listeners and past show hosts posting comments on past episodes and suggestions for new ones, discussing things like theater, costuming, audio dramas and stuff. We'd love to see you there too. http://www.anomalypodcast.freeforums.org

Promos played this month:
Waffle On
Sea of Stars
The Martians Are Here
AppyTimes
Private Sanctuary
Knights Of The Guild
Take Him With You
Here Goes Nothing
(Again, we trade promos drop us a line if you want to be included)

Enjoy the show! And don't forget to drop us a line! girlygeekz@gmail.com

What a great set of podcasts!  Oh my.  There are times when I laughed so hard that I was in danger of peeing my pants.  This is good and bad at the same time.  The comments were AWESOME!  When Tim and Boz started talking I was in real trouble!  :) FANTASTIC!

This was all I hoped for and more THANK YOU!  Love the Black Knight/Vader sketch.  hehehehee.

I would love more combos like this.  Pizza is always better with more toppings.

:)

AWESOME!

:D Thanks Rick, I'm glad you liked the two podcasts (Waffle On and Anomaly). I listened to Waffle On yesterday and it is a very different from our version. Meds added a lot of clips to his and had an extra comment (so did we). We (Anomaly and Waffle On) already have plans to do two more episodes. One on Shawn Of The Dead and one on Hitchhiker's Guide. :)

Of course the definitive Treks in Sci-Fi episode for the latter has already been released :)

A good podcast from both teams - it's interesting to see what impact the different styles of opening and closing can have on what is (broadly) the same show. The comments did make a real difference to proceedings and really set the whole show off well.

I'm not going to say whether I preferred one version over the other :P

Just finished listening and loved the Anomaly version. Brilliant stuff and it was awesome chatting with you ladies. here's to the next episode :D

In this installment of Anomaly, Angela and I reviewed the prequel novel to The Wheel of Time series, entitled New Spring. It was the first book by Robert Jordan that we picked up, and we've been eagerly working our way through the series since finishing the last sentence of New Spring.

The goal in this podcast episode, was to introduce our listeners to The WoT. We began by giving a little background on the author then describing the world he created in these novels. Once we covered that information we discussed New Spring and our thoughts on the pacing, plot and characters.

If you've been curious about The Wheel Of Time, check out this episode. If you've wondered whether you should start with New Spring or Eye of The World, this installment of our show might help with that decision. As a warning, we did spoil this book. However we did not give anything major away in the subsequent novels. If you want to skip New Spring, this episode may just give you enough background to move on to the Eye of The World (technically the first book in the series).

Finally, at the start of the episode, I talked about a short children's Sci-Fi story I wrote for The Martians Are Here podcast . We'll be posting a version of that story on Anomaly in June. For now, check out Once A Jolly Swagman by our friend Simon Meddings (AKA Meds from the Waffle On podcast).

Can't wait to listen to this Jen... and OMG!!! I love the picture.

Jen

Hey Kenny! Here's the image I used. It's of Moiraine Domodred. I found the image online and decided it was so awesome I had to incorporate it into our podcast album art. :) I think I found it on the WoT wiki. The artist rocks. :)
