It has been 2 years since I have taken a proper vacation - so next week it is finally happening.  The wife, kids, and I are off to the Eternal City - Rome. All roads lead to Rome.

In addition to sightseeing, drowning our selves in Gelato, and stuffing ourselves with pasta - we will indulge a family geek obsession and do some Geocaching.

AWESOME!!!!  I would love to Geocache on another continent.  I am currently working on a GC that is trying to get to Victoria, B.C.  It is called the Eager Travel Beaver. It started in Scotland. I am in tononto, and moving to Calgary soon so I am hoping to get it a little closer.
Have a GREAT Vaca!

Pizza, you didn't mention pizza! :)
Yes, please bring some pictures, and Geocaching seems perfect to really see a lot of the country, not just the tourist locations! :)

... and don't forget to visit the Wall... in Rome... Piazza di Spagna.
Don't ask, that's all I know.

Sounds like a great vacation! Oh man, I would love the chance to visit some of the art museums in Rome. I am happy for you though. Hope it goes smoothly.

A great time was had by both adults and kids\kinder on our trip.  We were even fortunate enough to see Benedict himself celebrating Mass in St. Peters Basilica.  A history \ art \ pasta \ gelato fueled trip was enjoyed by one and all.

We actually saw the replica on the last day of this exhibit!  I had seen the old-school still in operation Wall when I was still a university student - so it was a kick to see this replica.
