Looking forward to this Movie, and looking forward to what Seth Rogen can do with the role. Seth Rogens comedy does not come off as slapstick to me, so I am not expecting this movie to be that way. I am sure it will have some comedic elements to it, like a lot of Comic book based movies have. I got an open mind on this, and a lot of comedic actors do take dramatic roles. Tom Hanks did a lot of comedy at the start of his career, and now he is known more as a dramatic actor, Will Smith did comedy and now he is recognized more for Action/Dramatic movie roles then comedy. I have seen a few of Adam Sandlers dramatic movies, and thought they were well acted and left me thinking.

I am not buying Seth Rogen as the Green Hornet - unless they are doing a comedy - mocking version...that could be funny.  I used to watch the old spin-off from the Batman TV series.   It was great, but didn't seem to make it - even with Bruce Lee as Cato.

The problem with the show was that it has a more serious tone, but the stories were still childish. I don't know if the writers were the same as "Batman", but it feels like they were.

I would love to see a very serious and stylish movie.

I am not a Seth Green fan.  In fact, I dislike the actor's movie career overall.  He matches Adam Sandler in "how many comedy movies can I make that actually aren't funny, but are more likely disgusting/no-morals".  *sigh*

I'm highly skeptical, but will give it a shot *IF* the reviews are decent.

Well lucky for you it's not Seth Green but Seth Rogen who's in this movie :)

I'm sorry, I meant Rogen.  Green I have no problem with.

Hopefully Rogen can bring a little bit of humor to the role without going over the top. A humorous comment every now and then serves to break the tension and gives the character an air of humanity. Think Bruce Willis in "Die Hard." Anybody heard who wrote the Green Hornet screenplay?

The script is written by Rogen with assist from his friend Evan Goldberg.  Here's an article from about a year or so ago for some more details:  http://movies.about.com/od/thegreenhornet/a/grnhornet062008.htm

Movie isn't due out until Dec. 2010.

Everything I have seen thus far looks pretty cool....maybe except for the super soaker pistol he has in the one pic....but other than that...:)

Pretty much everywhere - Amazon, Netflix, stores, etc.  It only ran for one season but it was a terrific show and you will be amazed at all the talented people in it.  I can't say enough at how great this series is.  It was a crime it only got one season.  Get it - watch it!

I believe (at least in Canada) it plays on G4-TechTV. I have moral issues watching the channel but it's on there.

Yeah, G4 isn't the best channel - but if they are playing "Freaks and Geeks" then they at least have some taste.  ;)

I LOVED the last episode of Freaks & Geeks.  It ended so wonderfully.
The Grateful Dead is just about my favorite music in the world, and seeing the main character taking off to go on tour with the Dead was such a "HELL YEAH" moment for me.  I just wish there was some kind of way to find out what happens next.
I wonder if those of you that enjoyed F & G ever watched Undeclared?  I think it ran for two seasons, and was Judd Apatow's follow up series to Freaks and Geeks.  It has many of the same qualities that made F & G so enjoyable, with more of an adult/Animal House edge to it.  Many of the same actors appear as series regulars and guest stars as well.  Look for it, the complete series can be purchased for around 20 bucks and it's well worth a space on anybody's shelf.

I actually have "Undeclared" on DVD but haven't had a chance to watch it yet.  I will try to soon.

Thanks for the Heads up that is shows on G4-TechTV, I set it up to record. Fortunately I don't have any issues with watching that Channel ;)

LOL. I'll watch it if something entertaining is on, I guess stuff like Attack of the Show and such makes me angry.

Then again Leo Laporte just reported in a speech that the TWIT network makes 1.5 million dollars/year in revenue with expenses of about 350,000. With that and Revision3 the old TechTV is still alive and stronger then ever.

Rico

I tried watching "Attack of the Show" a few times.  Just can't do it.
