Ok - not sure how many know about this (or even care) but the other night at the VMA's, Taylor Swift won a best video award and Kanye West (see "bleeping" idiot in the dictionary) comes up on stage and ruins her moment saying Beyonce had a better video.  It's all pretty silly, but Kanye was really wrong to do this.  I guess he's apologized now, but come on man - grow up and learn to respect other artists.  Well, of course the internet has been having a field day with this.  Below is the video showing Kanye acting like a fool.  After that is something someone has made about this incident.  I have to warn you, the second video contains quite a bit of foul language.  But I found it funny.

Kanye West interrupts Taylor Swift on Stage at the VMAs 2009

(Warning foul language below - but very funny)

He's an idiot, she's just a kid and won her very first VMA and he had to take that way from her. At least Beyonce was sweet and when she won she brought Taylor out on stage with her for her to talk uninterrupted.

Of course he apologized half heartily on his blog and again on Jay Leno last night.. but still he's in idiot. He took away a moment that she'll never get back.

Also if I read correctly this isn't the first time he's pulled stupid stunts like this.

I agree. He is an idiot, and he looked like a hunchback. You'd think if he had the balls to do that, he'd have the balls to stand up straight.

I was hearing about this after it happened.  When I saw the clip a few days ago, it was shocking to see someone act like such a child.  Poor Taylor just had to stand there and be embarrassed.  I stopped watching these award shows long ago because they have turned into one night reality shows.   Very sad.

Rico

It's sad that people either have never learned manners or to respect others.  Either that or they think they are above and beyond all that.  It's like that guy in Congress yelling out "You lie!" at the President last week during his speech on health care.  I don't care what you think of the President, his health care plan, the tie he wears, none of that allows for that type of behavior.  It's rude, disrespectful and just plain dumb.

Bromptonboy

This isn't his first gaffe like this.  He should be banned from further award shows - or at the very least, not allowed to swill cognac from the bottle.

I don't know what's worse. His behavior or the fact that I have no idea who either of them are!  :confused

And how about Serena William's diatribe at the US Open?! Talk about poor sportsmanship!  :thumbsdown

I had only heard of Kanye because his mother had died after elective cosmetic surgery a few years back.  I didn''t see Devo up there, so I was lost....    ;)
Yes, Serena showed bad form as well.  One day we will look back and think these are good old gentile days....

I don't know about the Serena incident.  The judge's accusation is that Serena threatened her life which she vehemently denied.  I think the judge overreacted.

I don't know what's getting into people lately.  What happened to common courtesy?  Are parents not teaching this to their children anymore?  Kanye West  is a total idiot and should be banned from future awards presentations.  He's proven that he is rude and obnoxious and shouldn't be allowed into these types of events.

I think Kanye's goal was reached. We are talking about him.

Not to go all religious on you, but you did ask. All of these things we're talking about are part of the fulfillment of 2 Timothy 3: 1-5. Read it and tell me it doesn't sound just like what we hear in the news everyday lately.

1 You must understand this: In the last days there will be violent periods of time. 2 People will be selfish and love money. They will brag, be arrogant, and use abusive language. They will curse their parents, show no gratitude, have no respect for what is holy, 3 and lack normal affection for their families. They will refuse to make peace with anyone. They will be slanderous, lack self-control, be brutal, and have no love for what is good. 4 They will be traitors. They will be reckless and conceited. They will love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will appear to have a godly life, but they will not let its power change them. Stay away from such people.

You hit the nail right on the head. It's all about publicity and him reinforcing his "badboy reputation. Now he doesn't really even have to do any work in the studio for people too be talking about him. And the sad thing is that every time he half-heartedly apologizes on camera he's still getting air time. all at the expense of Ms. Swift. And all the drama will probably increase his music sales a little bit too.
