Andrew and I went out to the beach today.  Flew some kites, ate some lunch and hung out.  Here are some pictures of the Pacific Ocean, 30 minutes from my house.

That is one awesome jet kite. Even my father (the airplane pilot) thinks it's cool.

Thanks for sharing the pictures, looks like a fun day.

Interesting kite! I wonder if I could get a Eurofighter Typhoon kite?

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

I thought the same thing.

I suddenly have an urge to fly a kite in raining weather with howling winds....

You know, when I saw the topic in recent posts section - thought it read "The beach and flying kittens".   DARN!
However, nice pictures.  I remember those days in early spring when we would fly our kites.  Looks like fun.

Cool stuff.  You guys look kind of bundled up.  Was it cold?

Being in San Fransisco I can easily answer that, it is incredibly cold, you are being hit by water cooled air that for some odd reason is around (in San Fransisco) 55- 69ish

it wasn't real cold, probably around 57 or so, later in the day the clouds burned off and it was over 75!  Go figure.  :)  I always take a sweatshirt when I go to Ocean Shores, you just never know if it's going to be warm enough or not.

Living in Hawaii that sounds so silly, but going to San Francisco I have to agree with you

I really like those ocean pictures Mr. Moyer. The  texture of the sand in the crab claw photo makes it very interesting as well.

The Beach is beautiful, but here it is pretty cold.  Not like California or Hawaii.  There are some really cool places up the coast that I will have to go photograph.  Tide pools with starfish and all sorts of cool things, big rocks, cool scenery.  I need to do an overnight trip and go further up the coast.  That is some really nice looking stuff.
