Looks incredible! And it sounds like some mind-bending time paradox might be occurring.  I am really looking forward to this movie!  ;D

I agree with the paradox thing - I love paradox stories whatever universe they're set in. Not sure if I'll get 'out' to see it, but it will certainly hit my DVD queue sooner or later.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Just got back from seeing this and really enjoyed.  Cast was good and the effects - WOW!  If you enjoy things blowing up a lot go see this.
The story was ok, but I wanted a bit more than they give us.  Also, I have to say there is no real tie in to the TV series - which is a bit sad actually but understandable.  Oh and has been reported we get a bit of Arnold in it too.  I won't say too much on that.  Overall, a notch up from #3.
Definitely better then 3 and yes, the effects were very "transformerish".  These fx people are getting extremely good at blending real-life/cgi.  I thought Moon Bloodgood (very Bond-like name) was great.  Oh ok, the original terminator was a series 101 - not model 100.  That's what I was thinking of Rick.

I really enjoyed this film. I don't think it can really be compared to the other films though. The other films were all about being on the run and this one was an obvious war film. Once I realized that it was set in the Terminator universe, but a new sort of Terminator film I really loved it.
the trailers spoiled me a little too much, I knew that Marcus was going to be a machine just from them. Otherwise it probably would have been more of a surprise when we learn that. At the end I felt like this film which could have been and in some ways is a sequel and a prequel was really more of a sequel, and it seemed evident from what Connor said at the end with the "there is no fate, but what we make it". Even though the timeline is different in the future then what we might have expected it's all new and can play out however they make it. I have to say I was a little bummed that the TV series wasn't mentioned. I understand why they couldn't work in the shows timeline, but a nod that it could exist would have been nice.
I really enjoyed this Movie as well. I liked the intensity of it. I liked the fellow who played Kyle Reese, I thought he did a great job, and it was nice to see him have a larger role then what he had in Trek.
I undertand it is a different timeline from the TV series, but it would have been nice to have a few nods, like possibly having Derek in the movie, or something like that. I liked the nods to the older movies as well, the obvious one being playing the Guns and Roses song when John was capturing the bike. Also liked the beginning when he stepped on the Terminator Head, reminded me of the Original when it showed the Terminators stepping on the skulls. The way they worked the Image of Arnold into the movie was great as well. I agree with Sheppard, in that I felt a bit spoiled in terms of Marcus, as there was no real surprise based off what we had seen in the previews. I guess one could make the argument, that the way the movie opened, that he was going to be transformed. I am hoping they continue these movies
I loved Terminator Salvation.  Ever since i saw the glimpse of the future in T1, I have been dying to see a movie that takes place in the ruined world with killer robats all around!!!  I did have a few problems with some of the story, but the look of the film more than made up for it!!!
