WOW! Your collection is outstanding! I like the LOTR figures a lot.

Here are some more LOTR Figures. I have every Toybiz LOTR figure.

This case of trek geekness is serious.

Nice.  I really like those LOTR figures.  I used to big into Trek figure collecting and Star Wars figures.  I still get some of them but I'm more into the props and such now.

i dont own any lotr figures. The thing is i dont play with my figures so i dont buy too many.

I don't play with my figures either. I collect and appreciate them.

Picard_delta_5

lol, well, if they are really cool, its fun to play with them, ie; i just bought a jedi starfighter... i couldnt help myself and i opened it, it was well worth it though. very cool, i spent like 15 minutes putting on all the stickers, then i was carrying it around the house with me the rest of the night making flying sounds and spinning it upside down, lol. It says ages 4 and up on the box, but i dont think a 4 year old can actually appreciate its coolness.

I generally don't open my the figures I get, but a few select ones I have.  The prop replicas I do display and those can be handled and looked at.  Although I try to keep that to a minimum in order to keep them in good shape.  The exception is the Force FX lightsabers, those just have to be played with and swung around.  ;)

Picard_delta_5

yes, i don't like to open figures, but if i get a ship or something, i usually cant help myself... same thing with the playmate phasers. and yeah, Force FX lightsabers are fun, i think they were designed more for play then display (yeah, that rhymes). my one complaint about Force FX is that because they are plastic, they slide off of eachother and you can't get a good saber lock, but what can you do.... they are probably the best sabers out right now.

Wow Kenny! I'm impressed with your ability to leave them in the package. I never could do that. I bought a few of the Star Trek figures a few years ago...I couldn't help it, I had to open the package so that I could hold it in my hand! The little kid in me is very insistant.  I used to play with Star Wars figures when I was little...I had no interest in Barbies...my goal was to have enough Storm Troopers to form battalions so that I could line them up for Vader to walk past. I was only 3 when the first movie came out, so you can imagine what happened to all my figures by the time I was 9 ( I think that's how old I was when ROTJ came out)...Yep, I lost them. I still have a few of the ships, but they aren't in good condition.  *sigh*

Hey Jen.. yeah it's tough to not open things and hold them in your hands.. but if I really want to hold them I buy two of them and open one  :P My friends always make fun of me when I open figures.. they say it looks very painful because of my facial expressions  :biggrin

I wish I had all my Star Wars stuff from when I was a kid.. I do have about 30 figures still, of course they are all well played with but I don't have ships or playsets anymore  :(

Another reason I like keeping the figures in the packaging is because they are easier to display.

Jen

Ah, buy two at a time...hummmmm....Very good. I'll have to keep that in mind.

Great collection you have! I'm a collector too but I usually don't leave them in their package, (especially my collection of transformers. They are so cool now and hard to transforme!). I Also agreed with Picard about the Jedi Starfighter, That ship is made to play with! I have some pictures of my collection here: http://www.ericbrousseau.net/figurines.htm
