Hey,

Does anyone know a good Wireless Range extender?  I got a Belkin one, but its impossible to setup and will not connect to the router.  I've looked at others, but it seems they are just as bad to setup and get functioning.

Any ideas?

I set up a dlink range extended for my dad. It took a bit of work to get it going because the default IP wasn't in the same range as his linksys router. The only thing I don't like bout it is it creates a lot of latency which makes it pretty horrible for gaming.

It seems the current technology is borderline unusuable from my viewpoint.  It either:

A: Is really hard to setup
B: Disconnects constantly
C: Creates a lot of latency problems

I'm about to throw in the towel about getting internet out to my room at this point.  About 66 FT away from the router and the signal is a bit unstable.  (So much for 300 FT range....*sigh* @ Embarq)

I heard that if you take an empty pringles and put it over your antenna, it can boost your signal 300 yards but its unidirectional - obviously.

That's 300 ft range with no walls in between.

Ah....well.  That's annoying.  Oh and Mark, that won't work because the antenna is internal.  Not external.
