Dang; someone yanked the video.  What is it about?

*I was gonna make a witty comment about what first sprang to mind when I read the thread title, but good taste stepped in at the last moment and saved me (LOL)*

The video works just fine for me.. and it's pretty cool.. confusing but cool.

Yep; working for me know as well.

AWESOME.  Kind of like Schrodinger's cat.

After watching it and explaining it to my wife, I suddenly realize that I saw the real world applications in a documentary called Myster Men.

In said documentary there was a young man that could achieve transparency but only when no one including himself was looking at him.

I've known a few electrons that were sentient.  :)

Cool video, and reminded me of the Exo coms?  Is that what they were called?  On TNG?

I have been and always will be, your friend.

Are they implying that the electrons sentient?

Nope what they are saying is that the process of observation influences outcome even on a quantum level. Remember the old adage "If a tree falls in a forest does in make a sound?"

Well, if it was dealing with electrons, the answer would be: " Were you listening?"

I'm not a quantum physicist, not do I play one at work, but I do enjoying reading as much as I can about it and string theory.

In simple terms, regarding the electron, Everything is happening at once, but observation decreases possibilities.

While I don't like mixing religion and science. It's like God/the Universe told the scientists. "Stop staring at me! I work in mysterious ways. I'm going to make some things stay a mystery... For now."
