Has anyone heard of this movie?  I know that it's based on a short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald and it's about a man who is born an old man and as he ages in years, he looks younger and younger as time goes by.  It definitely seems like an interesting concept, and Brad Pitt is playing the lead.  Appropriate casting?  Methinks so.   :P

Hey everyone,

I remember talking with Rico and the group on the summer / fall Skypecast and being quite curious about The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Well my wife and I got to see it this afternoon in a packed theater here in Orlando and I must say I loved the film and would recommend it. Now clearly this film is not for everyone. There is barely any action stuff and appeals mostly on a adult level (I think). But you have to give it up to the film maker, the main actors and the production and effects crews for putting this story together. It is quite long around 2 hours, but believe me if you enjoy a good story telling you will enjoy the film.

So what was the audience reaction at my theater? You could here a pindrop till there was something humorous. There is a reoccurring comic relief that is not really necessary so it makes the film that much more enjoyable. At the end of the film my wife and I where blown away and the audience filed quietly out of the theater which said to me they where moved. We also heard  positive comments in the lobby.

All and all a great movie experience that I would recommend to those who would like this kind of film.   :thumbsup  :thumbsup

Saw it last night. I had no idea the movie was 159 minutes long. I never looked at my watch. While it doesn't have scifi elements, it does stretch your mind like a good scifi movie or thoughtful episode of Trek does. It was fascinating to think about the problems that would be created if one got younger instead of aging. I was very moved by the film.

The special effects were also amazing. The best part was that you didn't really notice them; you just believed that the actors really were that young ... or old, as the case may be.

Check it out. I'd love to her other opinions.

I'm going to try and catch it soon too.
