While Amy and I have been on our retreat we had some free time and went to see Australia.

Pretty darn amazing movie.  It wasn't sci fi, but very well filmed, great special effects, amazing story and quite touching.  The acting was superb.   

Great flick for an entertaining and historical evening.

4.5 out of 5 stars in my book.

I was going to see the movie because I'm a big fan of Hugh Jackman and Baz Luhrmann, but it's so good to hear positive things from other people who have seen it.  My mother is the pickiest moviegoer on the planet and she just adored this movie... that pretty much sealed the deal that I must see it.  :)

If you like the moviel, you would love the actual place! We spent 2 weeks there for our Honeymoon. :)

What a coincidence, they are talking about Australia on the Totally Rad Show which I am currently listening to. Sounds interesting.
