I found this really cool website called www.thethingsiwant.com. Everyone always says it's hard to buy things for me because they never know what I want or need. Well with this new site that makes it so much easier to get exactly what you want.

What I like about it is you make wish lists but the cool thing is you can link the page to the item that you want. So all you do is email the link the to your list to your friends and family and they can click on the link and go directly to the item online and purchase it, then mark it off your list as being purchased.

It's very cool program.. you need to follow some very simple instructions. Then you save it as a bookmark and when you are on a site and you see something you want you just click the bookmark and it open another window and fills in all the important info.

Yes...it is a very cool idea. Especially for husbands who hate shopping. Dave never knows what to get me for Christmas or my birthday. He basically takes me to a store and says "pick something out"...within reason of course. I prefer the "thought that counts" approach,  but he can't seem to do that.  Maybe this will help him when he draws a blank...I'd be happy if he just stopped and picked some flowers for me from the side of the road! But for some reason he wigs out when it's time to give a gift. This is a very cool idea indeed. :)

Well if Dave is anything like me he has 'gift anxiety'. My wife is just like you, in the end it doesn't matter what I get her but I get very concerned that what I do end up deciding on won't be exactly right.

Have her sign up for a profile on the 'things I want' web site! LOL. You guys really shouldn't get so worked up about it. Just listen to her, pay attention to what she's wearing (perfume/clothing), and go for it. Get advice from her pals if you need help. ;)

Oops! Don't post your link here unless you want everyone to know your full name.  :-X
Duh... I should have noticed that. Not that any of my buddies here on the forum are weirdos... You're all cool...but you never know who may find the link as they anonymously prowl the boards. Maybe I'm just a bit paranoid.  ::)

I'm obviously in the men's club here so I agree - that site should be used by women as a service for their men who just need to know EXACTLY what to get. I'll sign my wife up tonight!

Actually, I broke all marital convention last week and actuallly did 'just get some flowers' for my wife. She was surprised (to say the least)!

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

I gave up buying most type of clothes for Lynn a long time ago (but a leather coat did go over pretty well not too long back).  I focus on other stuff now.  Flowers are always a good idea!
