Thinking of tweaking the forum just a little.  I'd like to know what the screen resolution you usually view the forum at.  If you have multiple places you view it, just vote for your main one.

Thanks!

P.S.  I tried to cover most of the common resolutions.  Let me know if I missed one.

My home pc is 1280x1024.  My work PC is a lot higher.

I think you still have to target 1024x768, Rico.  My readings indicate that's still, far-and-away, the most common setup.

At work we optimize for 1024 x 768.

As recently as January 2008 we were still taking into account 800 x 600 to a certain degree. Recently we've made 1024 our minimum 'nice-looking' resolution.

My main screen is 1680 x 1050 but I usually view the forums on my secondary LCD, which is 1280 x 1024.

One thing you can take into account is that generally you have a slightly more techie audience who will tend to run in higher resolutions.

I hope so.  I'm just shocked at how much 1024 x 768 still seems to be around with all the cheap widescreen monitors these days.

My tower which I use mostly at home is 1024 x 768,

and my MacBook which I use as school is 1280 x 800,

I kinda tend to use the both equally right now, but there has bin mention of setting up a wireless in my house, then it would mostly be my MacBook for me to use.

Ripley: Ash. Any suggestions from you or Mother?
Ash: No, we're still collating.
Ripley: [Laughing in disbelief] You're what? You're still collating? I find that hard to believe.

No I'm 1680 x 1050 as well but I run 2 screens and I view the forums on my 2nd monitor which is 1280 x 1024.

Looking for folks to update this or new folks to chime in.  Going to tweak the forum a bit so this info will help me out.

Just as a point, sites I'm working on recently (for work) are being optimized to 1024 x 768. my newest site (in development) is fixed width at 980 pixels wide. Sorry 800 x 600 folks, horizontal scrolling for you!

My resolutions remain at:

Monitor 1: 1680 x 1050
Monitor 2: 1280 x 1024

Laptop: 1680 x 1050
