Without doubt one of the most successful film franchises in Hollywood history has been the X-Men trilogy of movies, and with "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" already getting lots of buzz from critics, the press and fans alike, you know 20th Century Fox has to be considering even more screen time for everyone's favorite mutants.

According to Variety, that is exactly what is happening in the Fox ivory towers. Execs are fine-tuning their scribes to come up with plots for several X-Men spinoffs, including a young X-Men project and a film based on Deadpool, a character played by actor Ryan Reynolds ("Smokin' Aces") for the upcoming Wolverine flick. We already know that an Eric Lensherr/Magneto film is in the works that will bring Ian McKellen back to the X-Men universe.

Fox's plate will be pretty full with genre-related films over the next two years with the May 2009 releases of "Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian," and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," as well as the July release of the next Ice Age animated feature "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs." Once those are off and running 20th Century Fox is also toying with the idea of re-tooling the "Daredevil franchise.

DId most people hate the movie Daredevil?  I liked it...I was never a fan of the comic but after watching the movie I thought "Hmm...Ben Affleck was as annoying as he usually is".  I had no problem with Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin, I though Colin Farrell as Bullseye(?) was ok...I love John Favreau.  Overall not a bad flick but it seems to get panned fairly regularly.
