I think Michael Dorn is about my height, around 6'4". Look at James Cromwell - I think he is like 6'6" or maybe 6'7"!

Here's a pop filter secret trick. You can make one very easily. Get a wire hanger and open it up into kind of a circle or oval shape. "Borrow" some old nylons from your wife/girlfriend, etc. and stretch them tight over the hanger. Put it over your microphone a few inches and talk into the nylons! Presto, home built pop filter! ;)

Yeah, I use a plantronics headset to record so I'd have to figure that out.

Just move it far away from your mouth then and maybe speak a bit louder to compensate. It's the air motion blowing over the mic that cause the issues. Not sound level.
