Ripley: Ash. Any suggestions from you or Mother?
Ash: No, we're still collating.
Ripley: [Laughing in disbelief] You're what? You're still collating? I find that hard to believe.

Terminator's T-800 to be Played by...
Source: Clinton News-Record, Ain't It Cool News
July 17, 2008

The Clinton News-Record has revealed that former bodybuilder Roland Kickinger will play the T-800 in Warner Bros. Pictures' Terminator Salvation, coming to theaters on May 22, 2009. Kickinger talked about his role in the film, quotes that should be considered spoilers:

This month, however, Kickinger begins filming what is likely the role of his life to date, as his portion of Terminator Salvation begins to take shape.

"There's a very strong scene in the film where John Connor for the first time meets the Terminator, and he doesn't know if he's a good guy or a bad guy," said Kickinger.

"It's Arnold's character in the first Terminator. That's basically my role, but 20 years before, so it establishes how the Terminator [came] about."

Saw the trailer just before Batman today, must say I am really excited for this movie. The trailer even got me more pumped for the Terminator series retunring in the fall.

Will The Governator Appear In 'Terminator Salvation?'

By Julie Pyle

Arnold Schwarzenegger is too busy as California's "Governator" to revive his acting career, but his enthusiasm for and contribution to the Terminator franchise is clearly still important.

In fact, the upcoming "Terminator: Salvation" may include a voice cameo of the man who helped make the originals so popular.

Moritz Borman, who produced all three previous Terminator movies, told Wired when asked about the star's involvement: "Schwarzenegger is governing California. He will not be, as a person, in the film."

And it's the "as a person" bit that has the Internet buzzing with fan speculation. Previously, Schwarzenegger had been treated to some early footage of the film, and responded with underwhelming praise.

"They showed me some footage, but I don't have a feel for the movie. I didn't see enough. I wasn't sure who the Terminator was. I don't know if there is one or if he's the star or the hero," he explained. "These are the things that determine the success and how the strong the movie will be. I hope they do well, and I hope it is a huge hit. I do hope it creates a spectacle on the screen. That is what James Cameron created."

However, the Governator has continued to express interest in a cameo, as long as it didn't interfere with his current job. Borman refuses to elaborate at the moment.

"I'm not going to answer the question about what we're trying, or what we want, or what we're toying with," he said. "It's really up to what fits in the film or not. Maybe his voice, or maybe not. It's really not settled."

"Terminator: Salvation" is directed by McG and is headed into post-production.

WOW! That looks incredible. And I thought Reese's girl from the TV series was in the movie, but I think it's Moon Bloodgood who was in "Journeyman" last season. But boy do they look alike.

Ktrek

Looks pretty cool! I'll probably be waiting for the DVD though.

I am looking forward to this movie a lot, after watching the TV series. This movie looks like it might expand the Terminator Universe quite a bit, and make it more then just Arnold.

Of course!  This movie is a must see in the theaters for me!  It looks like it's going to have some great action and the little bit of character stuff shown in the trailer looks really good.  We finally get a good look at the future post J-Day.

Wow....I don't know. that trailer wasn't as compelling as the first for me. Doesn't look as good to me.
